Oops - forgot to add will be joining the NSD January Challenge when it appears or has it already??? Anyone???
Ooh, i'm getting really excited about 2009 - can't wait to see how well I can do and see an end in sight to all this debtNo spend days for March = 3Money to joint savings 2009 = £100.00Money to personal savings 2009 = £0.000 -
Not yet Jolly2009, am also eagerly awaiting it. There is a Dec NSD thread I think it'll be announced on there when Jan is up and running.

Happy New Year All. Hope everyone is well and enjoyed their celebrations whatever they were doing.
Must say I couldn't wait for 2009 to start as very excited on making a difference to my debt once and for all. The dmp may be expected to finish in 2014 but I am going to make sure it is far sooner with lots of hard work and effort.
Two good things today.....
1. Checked online banking and received £20.72 interest (yearly) for current account so I transferred that to my 'finishing dmp earlier' account and have finally got it on it's way :j
2. Managers at work sent an e-mail around today to say that for the beginning of this year they are scheduling some overtime in to clear backlog....more money for finishing dmp earlier :j
Pretty good start, feeling very positive. Tonight is my chill out night and then tomorrow and Sunday I plan on blitzing everything in the flat, sorting paperwork and finding some things to e-bay. Also going to do some more research, posting to you lovely guys here too
Oh removed my total debt and estimate for dmp finish date as found them too depressing - plus with my hard work they won't be staying that way!!! xxNo spend days for March = 3Money to joint savings 2009 = £100.00Money to personal savings 2009 = £0.000 -

Hey
Well done on your efforts so far. I am totally with you on not having total debt in my signature, it's way too depressing! I also have too many challenges on the go in my signature to add in my debts too :rotfl:
Don't suppose you know if there is a cheap listing day coming soon on Ebay? I have loads to list and would like to save on the fees!
Keep up the good work, you're doing really well :T0 -
Thanks FF, feeling very positive at the minute
Not sure on e-bay as new to it all and am in process of collecting items to sell. I'll probably be asking you for advice soon!
Just had lovely tacos for dinner - cooked by me as OH has man flu.....which translates as the sniffles
Right now i'm ready to surf the site! xNo spend days for March = 3Money to joint savings 2009 = £100.00Money to personal savings 2009 = £0.000 -
Morning!
What a lovely sunny day down here in Hampshire, i've woken up happy and smiley instead of the usual miserable and not wanting to get out of bed as it's so dull outside.
Aims for today......
- Log in to online banking and see if I can't transfer some pennies (anything!) to my finishing dmp early fund.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floor (kitchen cleaned last night).
- Do at least 3 wash loads to catch up.
- Tidy, clean and scrub bathroom and ensuite.
- Tidy, clean bedroom and put on my lovely new crisp white duvet set from Laura Ashley
.
- Take down one of the two Christmas trees.

Ok it's nearly six and feel like I am only half way there..... so far......
- swept/mopped kitchen floor
- cleared/cleaned living room
- cleared/cleaned bedroom and put on my lovely new duvet set
I have purposly not planned anything for my weekend - main reason being is that I want to get super organised before I start back normally at work from Monday.
Tomorrow I think I will do rest of flat and tackle the spare room  It's not been touched since we moved in and become a bit of a dumping ground. I want to turn it into spare bedroom/office type room as fingers crossed my supervisors have said that I may be able to work from home.
I think I should be able to add more to my savings to clear debt fund this month, however think it will have to wait until I get paid to ensure that I don't leave myself short. Should be fine with all the NSD I have planned!
I need to work out a plan of action to how I am going to do this - paid on 15th every month and then have outgoings of household account, dmp payment, mobile and irrv (paying back fees to prev employer) - after that any money left is to pay for commute to London (when not working from home) - food for the month - and then any other spending. Obviously on a good month when able to work home for longer periods I have a better budget but there are months when in London a lot and that means very tight budget. I'll get there, I am expecting some overtime in January's pay so that has to be a good start to 2009 don't you think :j
Right, I think I have just waffled away to myself here - apologies if anyone has to read it!!

Phew what a day!!
I've managed to clear entire flat apart from bathrooms - decided to leave that for the OH tomorrow as it's his day off
I have managed to.......
- Take down both Christmas trees
- Clear spare room & sort office space for working from home.
- Cleared round kitchen after breakfast and lunch
- Three loads of washing - all still drying....running out of space!!
Now I have the flat sorted (to a point) I can concentrate on the important thing - money!
Have been reading and some good ideas picked up so just need to work out what is what. Pay day on 15th so it all starts from then properly but in the meanwhile I am going to keep on being good - have had my first NSD today :j Only another 9 to go and I will reach my target.
Just need to start my log books, have decided that I am going to keep a spending diary and a organisational diary - hopefully both of them will keep me on track as come Monday I may not get so much time to post every day on my diary. Back to work and lack of time to get everything done. I will get better though and be super organised, unlike 2008.

You're doing really well so far! You seem to be in the same mood as I am at the moment - not being at work and having no money for fun has meant that I have a cleaner house than I've had in ages!
Keep up with it all, look forward to seeing how you're getting on0
