Going out looking for free fruit.
Where I live everywhere you go in the summer there are Apple/plum/pear trees. Plus Blackberries galore. I have them all in the freezer for pies until we start again. Must have saved a fortune as I didn't buy any fruit throughout the summer.:T:T:T0 -
16962171]First finding this place...keeps me quiet for hours!
Biggest OS change so far is washing soda and less detergent.
Biggest non OS thing is cash back and survey sites !!
For 2009 will be more home baking (I hope)

I bought a slowcooker and breadmaker after being inspired by mse and the os board. Also, use some of the tips I have picked up over the last year from reading through the threads. Will try to put more into practice this year.Second purse £101/100

Have to say, this year was the first in a decade that I made mince pies. I used the recipe on here and ended up having to make 10 dozen because people kept asking me if I had any more
Many thanks for that posting.
Oh and the wonderful 10 minute in the microwave sponge puddings - wonderful, never believed it would work0
