Got to agree Lanny. In my opinion the Kings Cross Royal Scot is rather shabby and not a great location. City Road was much more modern and on good bus and tube routes!
But for £9 the Royal Scot is superb value and handy for central London. The pub over the road "The Carpenters" is a typical london boozer and well worth a visit.
City road is excellent But really dead on a Sunday........it is a city place and even the pubs and cafes don't bother opening.

Only bad point is it doesn't have family rooms.
I agree that Marylebone is an excellent location. Always my first choice for any Travelodge stays in London during their promotions.0 -

Woohoo - £9 sale was already live at 3am.
Two weekends in London sorted and a couple of half term days in Portsmouth :-)0 -
Glad I got up early. Got 4 nights in a family room in August for £9 a night at Covent Garden. And 6 nights at Marylebone in a twin room (CG £9 rooms seem to have gone already).0

There seems to be a mistake on their site. At Cov G, the saver rooms are showing as £19, but the flexible ones (that you can cancel) are showing as £9.0

Quick question I cannot see London Marylebone on the site?Member of New TG Weight Loss Challenge:

On the search box, I always put WC1 which gives the lodges from Liverpool St in the East to Marylebone. Marylebone only seems to have twin/double rooms.0
