morning everyone, nice to see some good losses :)

has anyway tried success express? always seems too much planning but the FO "bible" says it is a good way to boost weightloss, if you have been struggling.

    TIA

    :)

Success Express is very good and is often used as a boost to weight loss if you find you're getting stuck. Here's how it works:-

    SUCCESS EXPRESS

    Step 1
Have Three Success Express Meals a Day. At each meal follow the two to one principle.
Fill two thirds of your plate with Superfreefoods then one third of the plate with foods that are Free on Green or Original.

    Step 2:
Add one or two Healthy Extra ‘A’ Choices and two ‘B’ choices from either the Green or Original lists.

    Step 3:
Snack on Superfree Foods such as fresh or frozen fruit, vegetables, eggs or very low fat dairy products. You can add Healthy Extras to Snacks.

    Step 4:
Choose your Syns; enjoy five to 15 Syns per day. You can enjoy your Syns as part of a meal or for treats.
Snacks, desserts or starters that are not Superfree or Healthy Extras are counted as Syns.

    SERVING SENSE

To get the maximum benefits from Success Express. It is best to follow the easy guidelines that put a little structure and control into your serving sizes.
If you find yourself building “towers” of food that’s mainly free on Green or Original, it might be better to go for that choice rather than busting the “true” Two to one Principle.
    On a Success ExpressDay,
Everything you eat that isn’t a Free Food (following the two to one principle), a Superfree Food or a Healthy Extra has Syns. If a Syn has a higher Syn value on one choice than the other then you must take the higher value.

I miss all my homemade stuff :( I know they always say SW is not a diet but it sure does rely on a lot of diet yogurts, diet jelly, diet sweeteners etc.

Lol, for 'diet' substitute 'low-fat, low sugar' and you'll see that it's just healthy eating. While home-made is fab (no disagreement from me there) in order to lose weight you have to make changes to the way you shop, cook and eat.

Once you get used to using skimmed milk for instance, you'll find that your tastes change and using full-fat milk again is really quite unpleasant. The same can be said for many foods, but you may have to grit your teeth and bear it at the beginning.

Stick with it, it really does work and in my experience (and I have lots) there isn't another slimming plan which comes anywhere near food optimising for allowing you loads of tasty, filling and nutritious meals and snacks.

Lots of people seem to think wine is about 30 syns a bottle but actually all wine (red, white, rose) is 24 syns a bottle unless it's a sweet wine, in which case it's 32. Blossom Hill isn't sweet - (there are 4x175mls in a bottle, hence 4x6 syns = 24).

Oops, sorry for the mis-information though I did say the average bottle is 30 so not far out.

OH Thats just not fair! lol .. a bottle on WW was only 7 points :( lol .. (im not complaining tho! cos it means i can eat more on SW lol ...

Im kinda thinking if i have my chinese and wine i could sorta spread the damage over till w.i lol

    i:)

Ah well, this is where WW lets it's members down in my opinion. Since you get an allowance of X number of points a day it's up to the member to decide how to use them and sadly, many slimmers choose to use them on unhealthy food rather than the healthy stuff. Who in their right mind would choose an apple when for an extra point or two they can have chocolate :rotfl:

If you want to have the Chinese and the wine, go ahead! Either decide how many syns you're likely to use before-hand (be generous) and then have a flexible syn day (keep count of what you have) or cut down a little before and after (if you won't be going mad).

This is not a race, you can take the scenic route and still become a winner - only the very dedicated take the motorway.......it's all about choice!

  • Only lost 1/2lb this week and was really disappointed in fact I asked her if she was sure as I had done really well following the plan but no only 1/2lb. Got a bit downhearted about it but thought it is better than gaining so decided to keep going. Maybe I am expecting too much too soon

Anyway just to say love reading this thread & seeing how everyone is doing & it really gets you motivated again.

    Help!
I'm finding that I'm not enjoying many of the SW recipes.
I just had free rice pudding and really it's nothing like the real thing at all. It tastes to artificial. I can imagine doing this for life.

The consultant told us this week that Branston veg ravioli is free, and it's that sort of thing that I am looking for. Can anyone give me any others that are meat free and quick and easy, ie tinned or dried or whatever!
