I cannot believe that people, when faced with the stark choices in the ballot box, will want to risk a return to the chaos of the last Tory govenment.
Let's face it, Cameron is unelectable.
As opposed to Gordon the dictator and the bunch of spineless sycophants he surrounds himself with?

People chose to return to the chaos of the last labour government in 1997 so why not?
Like someone else said on here labour always take over a prosperous administration and the conservatives alway take over a failing one.0 -
Doesn't make much difference whether you vote Tory or Labour. Not a fag paper between them and neither of them are up to the job of dealing with the problems that exist at the moment.
There was a real and urgent need to stabilise the banks but to rush out vote catching Vat cut and mortgage interest relief was ill-thoought out and premature. A cross party cabinet should have been formed where the best brains (incl. Vince Cable) could have thrashed and thought out some measured and long term strategy to rescue the economy. Business brains and the unions should have been included.
Instead we have the same old yah boo politics while the country sinks.
18 months of consenus politics would have been a welcome and interesting change from the 'same old' and who knows, it might not have been too bad.
I wish voting was compulsory and there was a 'white vote' (you vote for no-one). A majority 'white vote' might tell the politicians to stop politicing and start looking after all the British people and not just some of them.0 -
I'm 24 and not a tory member. But they are the best of a bad bunch.
Yeah Cameron and Osbourne make my skin crawl as people, but then Tony Blair made it positively get up and gallop. I'd vote tory any day over labour, especially a predominantly scottish labour. The people in England must have been mad to vote in Blair and Brown. I've never yet met a Scottish person who doesn't in some way hate the english (although in varying extremes).
Wouldn't it be sinister if the gold reserves had been sold to scotland lol.
(If I go missing today, you know i've stumbled upon the truth!)I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -

Probably the most sensible post I've read in this thread. Thanks!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
The number of people who have been on benefits for more than five years has increased nearly 30% under Labour.
Official statistics show that since 1999 the number of long-term claimants has grown from 1.84m to 2.34m

Well you are wrong in my case! I will not be voting Labour for the first time. I am from Scotland and have only lived in the North East for 7 years so maybe that makes a difference.Excited for Florida - May 2012 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
