Norwich. I have no idea why, as when I was in court I spoke to one on the phone, and that was from Cambridge.

    Hi ANewEra,
You have a new reader to your diary! I think its a great Idea to do this as it helps people follow a journey step by step which is real and not text book jargon. x I have just booked court today (march 6th) for me and Hubby, we have 3 children so know all about the worry of giving them a good life and not having them sacrifice on fun because of our bad decisions.:o

Will follow your diary and may even start one of my own after March 6th!;)

Its nerve racking and exciting all at the same time but just want to be more relaxed for my kids sake! Been a grumpy mummy for to long now!

Best of luck to you and your little boy! x
;) Heres to a brand new start!!;)
    Court date March 6th!
:j 1 week after BR and feeling pretty good!:j

Quite often if one OR's office is very busy then they will farm work out to offices that are less busy.

Good news about the money and the account.

Simpsona this is another good diary to read. I highly recomend it.

  • Hi ANewEra,

    Great name!

I'll also follow your diary and chip in when I can. I went BR on 5th January, so I'm just behind you. Neither of our children live at home any more - they are nearly 21 and 19. My wife didn't have to go bankrupt, but that's more a technicality as 90% of the debts were in my sole name.

I've also had my Examiner Interview, but that was three weeks ago and I've not heard anything since. The day after my interview I took loads of files into the OR's office. The staff there are very nice but a bit disorganised - or maybe inundated with work  - I suppose their jobs are recession-proof!

I 'phoned a coiuple of days after dropping off the files, and was told that I'd get a receipt for all the files - but nothing since!

Today something weird happened. I had a card from Royal Mail telling me that there was post waiting for me that had insufficient postage. Please would I collect it and pay £1.90 - it was a big brown envelope with no official markings, but it DID look official, so I paid up. It was from the OR's office and it was the pack they'd sent to me three weeks previously just before my telephone interview - no stamps on it at all!! :D

Quite a few forms to fill in and some that need to be witnessed. Did you have a pack like this, too? I wish it had arrived before my interview as it had some useful tips.

I'm happily running my new Coop account with its smart Electron card, and I am so happy not to be using credit/debt cards any more.

Both of our children have been very supportive, and my BR hasn't changed our relationship at all - it's a non-issue to them. Thankfully they are both good with money and simply want a happy family.

I wish you luck, and like just think, in a week's time you'll have done two of your 12 months until disharge - Yeees!!:T

Yes, I also had the big brown envelope with all forms form the OR's office, bit of a bloody cheek them not putting stamps on though!!!

I had a letter on Friday officially stating that they had no interest in my car, oh and that I must remember to tax and insure it etc.....why wouldn't I...? Thought that was a bit odd. Nevermind, I knew I was keeping the car as OR agreed essential for work and worth <2k, but nice to see it in black and white too.
