One bag is enough even for a week or two - there's really no need to travel with more than necessary! Just remember to take tiny (hotel-size, hint hint) bottles of shampoo or agree to buy some new ones when you get there. Having to check in online actually makes things much easier as you don't need to arrive as early at the airport, meaning more time in bed
.
Getting an Electron card is very simple - just call in at any branch of the co-op bank and ask to open one of their 'cashminder' basic bank accounts. There's no credit available so there's no credit check, and if you're on the electoral roll they won't even need to see ID. It's so simple it's a wonder anyone pays the card charges at all!0 -
What happens if you book and find you no longer need the flights?
I would always like to cancel such things (in case I get blacklisted in future!) but is there a change for cancellation or any hassle for not turning up?
Ryanair is well known for not keeping records of passengers - hence why you never have to log in to the website. They don't care if you don't fly because they keep your money regardless and it actually saves them money because they don't have to pay APD. If you decide not to travel just don't turn up at the airport. I've got several flights in Jan/Feb from the last time they ran this promotion and will choose which to use nearer the time. If there's two on the same day I'll check in for both and decide when I get to the airport!0 -

Ah, I just checked and we don't have any insurance anyway, and we're not intending to go abroad again this year.
I still think this was a pretty good deal.0 -

FTR It's quite simple: in the box labelled 'select country for insurance' click on 'No insurance required'.0 -

Regardless of whether you could have got it cheaper or not it is still a good deal and price for a return journey on a plane to a different country.
Get an Electron card though, wont cost you anything and would have saved you £20 on this trip.0 -
