  • Got up from watching TV and wondered if I had had a drink and forgotten:rolleyes:. Definitely a bit unsteady - decided I was just tired. OK was on the go a bit today but not that much.
I had phoned the surgery this morning to find out if blood test results were back. Yes, but not seen by doc. The doc who had ordered them is off this week so will have to phone next week. Anyone taking bets that I am going to be told I'm anaemic?

Oddjob – are you really wishing it was all over, you cant wait to see the littleones faces on Christmas morning really

Emily – hope everything goes ok in your new home

Toochoosey – I’d love a drink, I have been soooooo bored at work today

that was up to about 1 o clock I think.

Then I bunked off 1/2 hour early again as my little brother turned up an hour earlier than he said he would so managed to see him and 1 niece before they had to fly.

Spent half hour doing nothing :D as still rattled that DD wont clean her room - she's on the threat of only half her santa pressies at the mo and knows it.

had tea then I decided rather than clean I would wrap wrap wrap and I am pleased to announce

I have finished wrapping presents :T

For the first time ever I have finished before 2am on Christmas day so thank you pigpen for giving us all the prompts :A .

Plan now is to prepare the mixture for breakfast muffins so that I can bake them in the morning and take them to work to have with bucks fizz for brekkie because then I figured if we'd had a glass each it would be out of our system before we finished at 12. Then come home and muck out the rooms that still need doing

Will disappear for a bit and try and catch up on the last few pages.

PS thanks everyone for the lovely cards and lilme and boys for playing postmen

Can I echo those thanks to pigpen as I definitely seem more organised this year. Just some cooking to do tomorrow, vacuum upstairs, S&S kitchen and ensuite, shower and make myself beautiful for santa.
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Couldn't keep away.... persuaded DH to watch love actually tonight which as you can imagine he loved. Can't be too hard on him though he did do lots of the cleaning earlier on!

soappie - nice one on the fridge, I've got a large one in this flat which is brilliant - can't imagine a small one now!

mudbath - can you send him over here?! Sounds like he's loving it, lets hope the novelty doesn't wear off!

Just had an email back from the councillor (quote) "This clearly sounds unacceptable - I am contacting one of the Senior council officers to address this.
I'll phone you tomorrow (Wednesday). (It may also be that the council officers contact you also)."

he'll get our votes if he can sort it out!

:hello: Brief rest from packing then I have to get on again at least to finish one child's presents!

My phone is lovely, I'm extremely pleased with it. Mr G had a bonus for being in the police for 2 years now so spent some of it on me :D It's like a mini computer and it's fab. Had my shopping list on it today and the one time I tried to answer the phone I managed to cut Mr G off so I still have lots to learn :rotfl: Hoping to become a little more organised as I hopefully won't end up with bits of paper with lists on everywhere!

Greenbee...sorry to hear about your Grandad :A

    rach...good news :)

Rach - nice answer from the councillor! fingers crossed - oh and as you've found your iron, I wonder if you know where mine is?

The new fridge is chilling down nicely. The veg from the porch have already been rehomed in it.

Have just had a soak in the bath in a 'simply because I can' way! Which was lovely! Normally, it's functional wash those bits type stuff. I'm going to watch the end of 'Overboard' (another lovely film in my view!) then go to bed

    Evening all,

this evening has been - marzipan the cake, make merignues(sp??), finish wrapping, clear camera for use, tidy spare room, tidy bedroom, sweep kitchen floor.

Need to find my list to update.

lil_me - hope all goes well tomorrow.

may have missed this but pigpen did triker get away okay?

mudbath - if hes enjoying himself leave well alone (its not as if he has help to tidy up)

soappie- impressed with your fridge purchase we are going to need one in the new year - it was bought with the house and hasnt been working great for the last 6 weeks so keeping fingers & toes crossed that it last until the sales.

cards - keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow obviously village life although if toots has hers thought I would have had mine as well

soappie - Mine was in the equivalent of the understairs cupboard. Yes pretty impressed with councillor's answer so far, will see what happens. Was much easier when I knew all these type of people personally!
