  • Morning all

Just about to head back up the road. Had a great time in the sales yesterday (I was at Speke Johanne, never been there before, it was great) So I'll be reading my books on the journey, Delia's Frugal Food £8.99 and Trinny and Susannah £5. What's the cheapest we've seen Nigella's Christmas for? I think Asda is leading the way at the mo at £12.

We were out last night at a 50th wedding anniversary so I am knackered. Maybe wont get any reading done, might just snooze instead. Its lovely to think I have a nice sparkly house to go home to ;)

AnW'sMum - forget to say, I tried to pm you back about 10 times but every time I tried your inbox was full. Should have just emailed you, doh!

boddy - great news!! CAn you play on line?

DD (15) had a great time playing with nephew and niece's lego. She now wants some. lol

See you all on next weeks thread xx

    I've been a busy bee:
    • [strike]Wash bedding[/strike] Just about to hang this on the line
    • [strike]Sort out the remaining [strike]two[/strike] three uncleaned drawers in the kitchen[/strike]
    • [strike]Decide what to do for dinner tonight. Will it be roast or not?[/strike] Yes, I've decided it will be roast
    • Possible small tesco shop
    • Possible trip to dump
    • IRON
Just had cheese on toast for brunch. Once I've put the washing on the line, I'm nipping out to the dump (note to self: find driving licence! They won't let you in without proof of where you live!) and Tesco. There's football on this afternoon and I don't want to get caught in the traffic.

Then I'm going to have to do the ironing... Hope there's something decent to watch on the TV whilst I do it!

  • have just finished cleaning the kitchen and tidying all the sweets into the bin :o ate slightly too many last night and have been a bit ill this morning! So all unopened choc/biscuits/sweets have been delivered to the neighbours. Money from in laws spent on new undies. Organised home office too so all I have to do is replace 2 radiators and get a man in ;) for my guttering. Made soup from leftover turkey and reduced organic veg from supermarket trip.

Can't wait for 2009 to keep up my flying and do the live on £4000 challenge- really enjoying my life now and feeling so much compared with earlier in the year. You guys are really great - thanks for making me feel so welcome! :T

Well so far this morning I've

    Done some ironing
    Been to Asda
    Loaded TD
    Put chicken in oven

    That's about it!

Going to get my steamer out now and wash it so I can put my veggies in there. I've had it for probably nearly 2 years and haven't used it yet.:o Pressure cooker's broke though so I'm going to give it a try.

    Afternoon ladies!

I woke up with the most horrendous backache today - not sure why, too much sitting around reading??? Wheat pillow tucked behind me while I type, and am only going to stay here for a little while. Nothing particular planned for today. We're having Creamed Turkey en croute for lunch - Delia's recipe, and known in this house as turkey cushion, because that's what it looks like! Fresh fruit salad after, as I fancy something light. Snacky tea (will probabaly fall down about the crisps here!). Tomorrow I shall be making turkey soup, and baked potatoes.

DD has her friends over for their Christmas get together, so I shall have to go shopping for a few bits in the morning - no idea what to have for dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday we're going to Bluewater becasue I want to buy the curtain material!! Quite excited about that, as we've had no curtains for two years as a) no money b) couldn't decide what sort to get! I want to buy a new carpet as well, but that will be locally.

toottifrutti - sounds like you had a lovely Christmas! Welcome back!

valli - said there was nothing much in Boots!

AnW's mum - enjoy the panto!

pigpen - did you enjoy your birthday, and is your eye any better today?

    boddy - fantastic news!
