Right.. normal list it shall be then!! With special focus on decluttering and sorting and messy bedrooms!

Kazmeister.. You can make that appointment on Monday.. It is bossed so!

Mudbath.. don't you dare start doing stuff you are not up to doing.. You are being watched!

Next door are away.. hopefully until after new year.. as I filled their bin with my rubbish lol... it is gone though.. :D .. Bins were emptied this morning and one is refilled already.. plus next doors.. They'll be being emptied next Saturday too.. than back to Thursdays..

Kitchen has been somewhat rescued from the depths of messiness.. The WM has been cleaned out and unblocked.. it wasn't draining.. but my TD is deceased... Hopefully I can replace it with another.. NON-condenser one in a cheapy sale!

Pigpen...a list slightly to the left would be fine

But I prefer vertical and erect

Ok pigpen i'm listening. This morning I felt I was really on the mend and whilst I am getting there i'm shattered and sore now so I know the last two days have taken it out of me. I'm going to do course work, tax returns etc rather than physical for the next few weeks.

Toots - which parts are you wanting to beautify? Are we talking pedicure, manicure, facial and do you want to have one pamper day or do one thing a day??? Let me know and i'll have a fink! xx

I need some advice. My friend (mother of my godson) asked for lego for them. As some of you know i messed it all up and left it too late to get some. I got almost the last kits left in London the downside being that one is star wars (with guns) and the other indiana jones (with swords). I have now found a lego city kit (big truck) which is more expensive but I could get it them to share and take the other stuff back...I'd have to go in the next hour as its at a little local shop. But DH reckons something to share is not a great idea...

Why don't you want to get them lego with guns or swords? You can do your best to stop boys being boys, but a stick will become a gun or a sword. Playing with toy weapons won't turn them into thugs.

I got my DS a lego star wars vehicle. We couldn't believe the number of pieces in the box - loads of tiny, fiddly things - and it took myself, DH and DS to put it together (DS put the small parts together then myself or DH attached them to the big ship otherwise it would just fall apart . I don't think it will stand up to any robust playing tbh.

Thanks for all the comments guys - it's hard when you don't have kids yourself to know about this stuff! DH said exactly the same re guns etc! They will have to be happy with what they have...wish i'd avoided lego altogether as it's ended up being an expensive present! Never mind.

Lego is horrendously expensive!! The cheap lookalikes aren't any good though.

Re the guns thing - my DS is 9 and from a very young age had plastic swords, guns etc. He had quite an arsenal at one point! He doesn't bother with them any more, and a few weeks ago relented and let me throw away his broken ones. One of his favourite guns had been a piece of driftwood which was vaguely shaped like a gun :D He still has his two pop guns, and apart from that the only 'war' type things he still has are two real WW2 helmets! He's a very loving, gentle, boy despite 5 or 6 years of being obsessed with weaponry!
