Boddy - that is such wonderful news - enjoy it!

Toots welcome home hun and I'm glad you had a great time. Bookies aren't scary once you're inside - I used to work in one. Go in during the morning when it is quiet - the staff are really used to people not knowing what to do and are happy to help.

Still feeling rubbish, been laying on the sofa dozing and half watching tv again since 6 o'clock. DS1 seems better, well he has been on the wii fit and eaten his tea.

toots we don't have a local one, I have never been to Lakeland at all!

Kids were supposed to be going to bed (I got them to tidy up the stuff which was scattered across the floor which is a bonus) but I can hear them rattling around, they're getting right on my nerves at the mo, I think maybe I am just tired so they are managing to irritate me easier, me ill and DS2 ill we clash all the time. I need to do an ebay order of some cheap Nintendo DS pens, I wonder if it would be classed as cruelty to superglue them to their hands?!

Dusty sorry to hear you're feeling no better, sounds like your DS might be improving a little
One day I might be more organised...........

Well, I think I'll crawl back under some stone somewhere

Lost my rag with DS and DiL this evening. They were arguing about something - on and on and round and round. Raised voices and all. I went wading in mouth engaging before brain :o

I am now not flavour of the month with either of them.

Funniest (if you can call it that!) thing in a way was the minute I started spouting off and putting my oar in, DS started standing up for DiL who he had, only a moment before, been calling all names under the sun!

    Kids - I just don't understand them!

Hey ho, off to bed I go - with ear muffs on will be best I think....

Hugs Soappie - I know yours are nolonger little but at least now they have a common enemy (sorry it's you) they will make it up. I used to do this when my elder two were going mad at each other - they'd turn on me and be brothers in arms.

  • Evening all

It sounds like everyone has had a wonderful Christmas, although still a few poorlies around at the moment, so get well wishes and, Pigpen, hope the conjunctivitis setlles down fast.

We had a great time at DB's yesterday and came home at about 11, so straight to bed.

Today, I made some bread rolls first thing for DD's friend. We left home at about 10.30, dropped G in Bristol, then drove down the A370 to Weston-super-Mare. It was a lovely journey, as it was such a bright sunny day. We had a nice browse around TKMaxx and DD bought something for my birthday (so I have to forget it until April) and I bought something for her birthday (so she has to forget about it until July), then we went to Sainsburys and had lunch there before getting some beautiful flowers to take to the Crematorium for Mum and Dad. After that, we were going to go back via the motorway, but it was at a standstill, so we came back on the A370, through Backwell to Nailsea where we dropped DD off at a friend's where she is staying till Monday when she's back at work (home again on Monday evening).

Sis and I then went into Bristol to the new shopping centre - Cabot Circus, but we were very disappointed. There's been a lot of publicity about it, but we thought it was very over rated. The best thing about it was the loos at Harvey Nicks!
After that, we had a good run home with no holdups, and by the time we got in OH was about 10 minutes away from serving dinner.

Since then, we've just sat with our feet up, being thoroughly lazy! The only flying I've done today is a couple of loads of washing!:o Oh, and I had a lovely rose scented, smelly bath, with rose scented body lotion afterwards. :D

Tomorrow, apart from more washing, if the weather is nice again, we're going to take the dogs to Goytre Wharf for a walk. It's a canal centre in the Brecon Beacons National Park with a tea room, which may not be open tomorrow, and a woodland walk, so it should be nice.

Boddy - that's great news. I hope you enjoy it, whatever you decide to do with it.

Pigpen - I don't mind whether we have a full list or not. I've certainly got plenty that needs doing! :o

Well, I'm off to bed now, so hope everyone has a good night. God bless. x

Just caught up on the thread again, and really should get dressed. OH and I are off to Southampton too today so :hello: Lady Liberty who is also going there from our neck of the woods.

    Hi Sexymouse

Gosh Southampton was busy, hope you managed to get what you wanted. We had a look around & bought a couple of bits, but to be honest I was quite glad to leave.
