We went into town yesterday, managed to get some bargain DVD's & Blu-ray's in Woolies...such a shame the shop looked so bare
I wanted to go to M&S sale but they weren't open:eek: so we are going to brave driving over to Southampton today, I want to try & get some nighties & 'comfy' clothes for my upcoming operation..Mudbath will understand:rotfl:

Dusty - I don't think I've ever seen that film... I hope DH's mood is improved today (there might be a good deal in the sales for a new PC!). Hope your cold and everything is better today as well.
Denise - well done on your flying but then I guess you're at least half a day ahead of us :rotfl:
Pigpen - do you have any green eyeshadow you could use to complement the gunk?
Looks like we might have a sunny day again. I've another washing load to put on the line - I've got fed up with having washing hanging around the kitchen drying. But, I think I will have a chill day (although I said that yesterday and didn't!). We will see what happens. I would take the dog for a long, long walk but as she's just come into season, that's probably not a good idea!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning all,
Late night last night. I got fleeced at cards by my Dad, DH and DS. Which is normal. I sit in the wrong chair every time.
Gonna be a quiet day today I think. Maybe a gentle potter or nothing at all. The second option is looking most favourable at the moment.;)
Hope you've all had a good couple of days. Catch you all later xx0 -
Morning all
Slept well last night but my head is still awful. Going to 'boil my head' in true worzel style in a minute with some friars balsm. DS1 still bad - just like you Gryfon with the sore throat and stiff neck etc. Hope you are feeling better.
Due to go down to FiL for the night tonight and SiL etc will be there. DS1 is really not well enough so him and I will stay home.
OH pc has a power supply problem so he has ordered a new bit off ebay - he has 2 pcs and a huge work laptop so not like he is unconnected!
Soappie - the film was good, very lightweight but fun (set in the 1950s). I'll happily post you the DVD - it was a freebie and I wont watch it again.
I am just going to potter today. DH is planning on going to the sales this morning so he can go to the parmacy for me too.
When they are gone later I'm going to start a job I've been putting off for 11 years - putting photos in albumns - If I am not doing this by 4:00pm somebody ask why and if the answer is not good enough shout to make my head hurt. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Morning everyone,
Just caught up on the thread again, and really should get dressed. OH and I are off to Southampton too today so :hello: Lady Liberty who is also going there from our neck of the woods.
Got lots more presents yesterday at my Mum and Dad's, who spent far too much on us. They were meant to be giving us some money towards a new oven for our old flat as we reclaimed our good oven the other week, so need to replace it so we can rent the flat out. Anyway, they gave us money for the oven as well as lots of other presents, and unfortunately a couple of presents were doubled up on, so they'll have to go back. Got £35 of JL vouchers from my sister, so we're off to get a new light-weight duvet that will fit in the washing machine, as ours is old and heavy, and has to be washed in the bath. Also going to look in M&S as OH got given £50 giftcard at work.
As is tradition at Christmas, my Nan had an argument with everyone (well my sister and Mum), and I spent a lot of the day yesterday trying to mediate. To be honest, I was very relieved that it wasn't me on the end of the argument for a change. We're going over there again tonight for dinner, but have used the shopping as an excuse to not come for the whole day!
Well I'd best stop nattering now. Hugs to all of the poorlies and I hope you get better soon.
Take care everyone,
