I decided not to put in the Lakeland order! I've been good. I didn't NEED any of it, not really, just WANTED most of it, must be good, must resist! Quite pleased with my little resisting self actually.

Well done Lil-me - having looked at some of the online sales myself I think why? Do I ACTUALLY need it - no I don't! Therefore, why get swept along with the ' must grab a bargain frenzy'?

I realise that may be a bit of a radical view point but it is my view and, even more controversially, have decided I don't think I'd EVER want anything that is in Lakeland's sale. The only thing I might have been tempted with is a remoska - but they're not on sale!

    Hiya
Happy birthday Pigpen and happy boxing day everyone.
We had a lovely Christmas day, parents and sister and her children came over. Felt sorry for DH as he cooked all day then had to do the same today as my dad faked illness to get away with us all going to their house. I refuse to let him spoil stuff so we invited everyone to ours again. It was fun though. I also managed a ten minute walk with dogs today - I took the non pulling 12 year old.

Poppy loved her present - a wubba with material on.

Children very happy with their presents. They're playing the Wii as we speak. I can't wait till I can play on it!!!

Speak to you all soon xxxxx

The dreaded 'day after boxing day clean up' is about to start!

Lots to do, so the list might be long:

    Empty and sort fridge
Take Christmas trees and decorations down
Put away christmas boxes, ribbons and stuff like that that can be reused next year
Fill wheelie bin up with rubbish still lying around
Clear off table and put back to normal

    On a non Christmas theme:
Get washing up to date - again
Sort recycle bins and then sort recycling
    Clear computer desk
Get business accounts up to date and pay bills
Get personal accounts up to date and pay bills - that one is going to be scary!
    Vacuum through
    Wash floors
    Fill dog biscuit tins
    Weekly menu
Grocery list - should only be basics
    Grocery shop

Hmm - doesn't seem much, but I can assure you it will take me a couple of days!!!

Happy birthday pigpen. Off to catch up on the thread.
The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.

Dusty - what film did you watch?

    Relative Values.

Spent the evening dozing on and off on the sofa, going to bed now as still feel grotty, not helped by the fact that Aunt Flo decided to turn up unannounced yesterday (darn that full moon!).

OH pc has died it smelt of smoke and is now in pieces on the floor in his office with him in the foulest of moods. Defo going to bed.

Oh bother Dusty, hope it's something that's easily fixed and the mood passes by morning. No wonder you felt iffy with an unexpected AF visit, hope you feel better soon.

Denise that's some list! Good luck. I should really start with mine, have barely pottered today.

soappie well done to you aswell, I am thinking that with Lakeland, I want Mermaid tins and a Remoska but they have never been in the sale.

Mudbath, bless your OH for having to do it all twice, I bet he's appreciating how much YOU do now!

DP collected, not OTT drunk, sobering up well. He said because I'd said I would collect him he decided to call it a night as any more and he'd have felt sick......so had some sense for a change. I did some xmas pudding when we got back, DS1 doesn't like it he decided but DS2 loves it! He's asked me if we can have cheese and biscuits for supper aswell....so will do a little tray.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

My sister gave DH and I a digital photoframe. DH has loaded this years photo's on it so i'm having a few tearful moments looking back at birthdays, holidays, the day we got covered in mud in the park....it's brilliant to see the photos again, some great memories. I'm sure i'm getting more emotional in my old age xx
