    HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Hope everyone has a lovely day, get everything they wanted from Santa and don't eat and drink too much :)

Also I want to say how glad I am that I found you all, even though I am a sporadic poster, I still feel part of a huge family.

A huge thank you must also go to pigpen for keeping us all together with her lovely lists each day.

See you all tomorrow or the next day :)

  • Merry Christmas everyone, peace reigns supreme in the Shattered Household! :D

Children up and at their stockings at 6am, and are utterly delighted with their booty. Marvellous.
DH and I have had our customary Christmas row! But all sorted now.

Pooch is waiting for his walk. I'm waiting for my champagne..... But I have consumed piles of smoked salmon and scambled eggs

All in all, the perfect Christmas morning. :rotfl:

Hope you are all similarly content!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

All pressies unwrapped by 7.30am!!! Rubbish all disposed off. DS and DH are now trying to assemble a Lego Star Wars vehicle. DD2 is having a go at her various Crayola Colour Wonder things (no mess :j:j:j) I'm sitting here typing and listening to my new Matt Monro CD :D. In half an hour we are popping round to see a friend for a bit. Her daughter has gone to Malta to stay with her dad for Christmas and new year so she has a friend staying. Luckily I don't have to wrestle with a dead bird as we are veggie, so our dinner won't take long to get ready later on.

DS managed to knock the Christmas tree over when he was trying to switch the PS2 on so he could play his Lego Indiana Jones game  :rotfl:

    Enjoy your day everyone. :A

Special Merry Christmas to Pigpen and family for keeping us all in order over the past 12 months. I don't make resolutions as a rule, but one I will make is that I'm sticking the the Flylady thread like glue - my house is (usually) clean and tidy since starting doing this.

    Potatoes peeled
    Sprouts peeled
    Chestnuts peeled
    Carrots peeled
Champagne and wine chilling in fridge

DS and DiL are up - DiL just took DS a cup of tea so we might get to do presents soon. I'm just sitting down for a mo with cuppa (it's too early to open the champers I feel, even by my standards!)

Hope spotty dotty puppy is ok - :rotfl: at the vets!
Didn't get back on last night (though I intended to ...house is spotless and will stay that way as we are off to my sisters for dinner.)
All I have to do is get ready (relaxing bath planned) pack and drive there. I too like watching people unwrap Boddy so I love to come down with the kids.
DS didn't say anything - but having opened his gifts he had not got a 'biggie' IYSWIM. I got DD to come in the dining room with me, then called in DS - what a delight - his face LIT UP at the bike - totally thrilled he was...
So am I - because about a week or so ago he saw one he liked and it wasn't the one I had already bought!)

For those popping on the thread hope your day goes well. I have loved being part of the Flylady family

Oh dear, think I may have rolled out the pastry a bit too thickly - they are thickening up as researcher's recipe said they would but I thought I did roll them out thinly! Oh well, hopefully they'll taste good anyway. MIL's boyfriend has just arrived next door and I'm still in my PJs so I'd best get dressed - we also haven't eaten our croissants yet - will stick them in the oven to warm up in a min.

Hello everyone, I've been cooking so haven't had chance to post yet even if I've been online seeking bits of advice where needed. Beef is in, I didn't realise how big it was so I am pleased I weighed it this morning as I want dinner about 3pm, 3kg! I've got a small turkey breast roll in too.....there is only 4 of us :rotfl: have got stuffing in a tray, stuffing balls (cooked now) potatoes for roasting par boiled and waiting to go in (got goose fat for those nomnom) pigs in blankets on tray waiting, sprouts done, peas and sweetcorn (only veg DS1 will have) potatoes for mash peeled, need to do carrots and batter mix for yorkies.....

soappie, the boys said I have to say thank you! They're over the moon with the police station and have said they're going to make a start on it tomorrow.......might take a while! Well done with the chef by the way, I now have kitchen gadget envy!

House went from looking lovely and tidy to a bomb site, think I will have to get them to help do some rubbish clearing before dinner................Oh so far I got straightners, latte glasses, some money (for Remoska fund!!) Russell Watson CD (DP brought stereo into kitchen so I can listen as I am cooking) and Nigella's express book :D
