Blackberry storm gets my vote, I sent the G1 back, battery life was poor and the ring tone wasn't loud enough. I liked the android software but was no impressed with the phone itself. I have had the Blackberry storm for 2 weeks and I have to say I love it.0

For unlimited budgets and people who don't lose their phones, see above.
For the rest of us & the kids: LG Cookie. A real touch screen phone Available UNLOCKED at around £100 (Carphone Warehouse) and you can add up to 8 GB of memory. Has a fair outdoors/daytime camera, FM radio, MP3 player, email, + an internet browser that is not very easy to use but it works.
Use this with the new Virgin "use as much mobile internet as you like" 30p per day offer on Pay as You Go and you have an iphone knockoff worthy of these Credit Crunch times.
PS also known as model KP5000 -
Hi there ...
Just wondered if you very nice folks could give me an idea of the best touch screen phone on the market ... or due, as I hear there is a new Nokia touch screen due for release ...
Cheers everybody
You'll be waiting til next year for the Nokia touch screen models. The 5800 is a music optimised device, and the N97 is a top-end, feature packed handset. The former will be out in the first quarter of next year (Feb is the estimate from sources I've read). The N97, which does look like a pretty impressive bit of kit, will be out around the middle of 2009."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"
