Please help my laptop is broken

Hello

I would like some help please. I was downloading winzip from download.com last night and also a program from limewire and all of a sudden my laptop wont work.

I can switch it on in safe mode and have tried system restore but it never completes succesfully as when it restarts it just comes up with blank screen again.

I am running windows vista. I would appreciate any expert help.

Kind Regards
mrs t

ok tried to installng it and i get a prompt saying

the window installer service is not accessible in safe moe. please try again when your computer is not in safe mode or you can use system restore to return your machine to a previous good state.

Now this is not sounding good as my laptop wont start up in normal mode

    Windows Recovery Environment

You click on the Repair your computer option, which will bring you to a new screen where the repair process will look for all Windows Vista installations on your computer. When done you will be presented with the System Recovery Options dialog box

read the full article on the link

and if you get it working again then take limewire off
