It reminds me me of the old joke:
How many people work at Liverpool docks?
About half of them!
Mate, according to ole Pervy Pickles he's the only one working at Felixstowe:beer: (or soon will be...:rotfl:)
'He's been a bit quiet today, must have had a ship come in:T0 -

When I switched traffic from Liverpool to Felixstowe because the union hot heads had made Liverpool unmanageable by its p*ss poor management?
Transhipments in Rotterdam and RO RO ferry traffic to get the cargo into the UK?
However we all feel about these forced pay cuts I dont think feeling is strong enough to strike but who knows?0 -
It's been along time since Felixstowe Dockers went out the gate. If my memory serves me correctly, we went back with our tails firmly between our legs.0

How you doing anyway?
Just read this thread all the way through and have come to the conclusion the thread needs to end. It's gone on too long, a little bit like the docks. How can this drivel still be on here, if I read anymore of this nonsense I think I'll lose the will to live.
Come on mods move this drivel to the arms please.
At least you waited a few posts before you made up a new puppet, Sir you are well and truly outed.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Flexible contracts would be the only way they would be let back in through the gates.0 -
This truly is The Thread That Wouldn't Die.
We should make a zombie movie about it, financed by stoozing.0 -

In between the news items on this thread, of which there aren't many, I've amused myself by playing spot the Pickles. We all use alternate ID's to thank ourselves, or bump up our favourite threads - but having a conversation purely between your ID's and no one else over several pages is really quite something.0

You'd think Felixstowe docks employed more people than the biggest employer in the country, the NHS, given the prominence of this thread. It'd hardly be the end of the world if the docks closed, would it?0
