Now its official - More redundancies at the port!!
Worrying times ahead!!
The most eagerly awaited press-release on MSE and no one thanks you?
This place has gone to pot0 -
I read it first in the Evening Star and then rushed over here to see if anyone had posted it.
I was beaten to it.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I'm leaving actually, going back to the DFW board, just sticking around to say my goodbyes :beer:0 -
With the employer now holding the 'whip hand', the danger for remaining employees is a drastic change to existing agreements. Whether the Port management have intentions to change flexibility of working hours (ie, no ships = no hours paid) will remain to be seen. But the priority of the union is now firmly with maintaining as many jobs as possible and not necessarily on terms and conditions.
I wish all the workers well and hope all redundancies can be on a voluntary basis.0 -
Got to love the papers, it's now gone up by a hundred in one day. http://www.eveningstar.co.uk/content/eveningstar/news/story.aspx?brand=ESTOnline&category=News&tBrand=ESTOnline&tCategory=xDefault&itemid=IPED05%20Feb%202009%2023%3A47%3A23%3A4900

Redundancies, less hours etc. pickles got it wrong again
At the time I posted this statement everything was correct.
The Port is still undertaking the massive expansion project and investing millions into the country's infrustructure.
With the packages that the company has put forward shows what a caring company it is.0 -
