Like you I suppose?
Pickles, that great sprawling complex at the docks (and it is DOCKS, only you call it a port) is there just ONE company there?
Or does the little bit you work for form the centre of a web of other companies dependent on it?
And does that web spread out through Felixstowe into surrounding towns and villages?
And is it central to the businesses and livelihoods of a big chunk of Suffolk?
NOW do you get the picture?0 -

What is the name of the company then?

The Port is still moving huge volumes of containers which means that a secure future for the area is still here.0 -

It really does not matter how many containers you move around, how many ships come in, if there are hauliers going out of business because there is nothing for them to haul, or import/export companies laying off staff because, as you have said yourself, those containers are half empty.
Have you noticed how quiet the A14 is these days? Where are all the lorries? Have you noticed that virtually all of the recruitment agencies in Fx have disappeared? You really need to wake up and see what's happening right in front of you, the dock is not just Hutcheson Ports, it's hundreds of related businesses and right now they are struggling.0 -

The reason that less goes by road is because that is what the government wants. I thought you know all about the bigger picture?
The Port is moving more and more of the containers through Rail. Mr Bigger Picture surely you know why one of the recruitment company disappeared?
No you dont know so that shows how little you know or understand.0 -

I was as always talking about myself being thick and not about anyone else.
I was being light hearted ...I was in a little bit of a silly mood when I posted that. :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Listing companies in trouble would be irresponsible, but you should know about the rumours circulating and I can tell you there are others.
The new rail link will not be finished until 2010 if I remember correctly, I doubt the dramatic reduction in traffic over the last few months is due to that.
Recruitment, there were 6 I believe, now 2, or rather one and a half.
I know and understand a great deal. I watch, listen and observe. I see people every day who are suffering because of all of this and denial helps no one. Thankfully not all of us spend our lives with our heads stuck up our own @sses. Good night.0 -

As before you only make up stuff no facts.

Clueless as usual, the Port broke its record of over 9100 boxes in a week.
How may OH have that taken off our roads?

Name them. And you still have not answered why the last one disappeared.

Sorry if I have been going on a bit tonight but some of these like making all these false headlines which only goes to scare people when the truth is not so bad.
Yes we will all be going through troubled times but when good news is out there we should not be afraid to publish it.0
