That though usually means the customers will suffer which they will.
Rubbish, Box per hour is at the highest rate consistantly now for several weeks. So how will the customers be suffering?
The only time that the Shipping line is not earning is when the vessel is tied up at a PORT. Therefore as we are turning the very largest vessels around in very quick time, they are setting back out to sea quicker thus earning themselves more revenue.
There is work presently on going for a new terminal to open in 2010 which will replace the one that closes but with the way they treat their customers and the productivity rate we achieve it will be a wonder if they will have any left to make use of it.
All our customers are more than happy with the service that we supply at the PORT.
As you know you are not painting the true picture and you have personel reasons why you have written the rubbish above.
If the PORT is such a bad place to work why are you still working there for the last 26 years?
The PORT has given us thickies a standard of living that you and I could not have achieved anywhere else and will continue to offer this to us and future employees until the Human race learns how to Teleport our goods from country to country.
We can carry on this discussion when I return to work and I for one will be looking forward to your answers for why you have written in such a way.0 -

Glad I'm not Jetski... or.... am I?

Now Pickles, behave yourself. There is such a thing as freedom of speech in this country you know.
As for being threatening to Jetski, well the mods may take a dim view of that and withdraw posting priviledges for all your personas so I suggest you tone it down a bit and get a grip. We're all scared about what's going on and I guess you are more scared than most, the way you're behaving, but that is no excuse. Get a grip man.0 -
Actually Pickles a word of warning. Jetski might be a Russian, and not take kindly to being Jetski Bollokov.0

Oi Pickles....I am not thick!
Errr, well maybe I am....
My quest now is to work out if I know vinegartits or Jetski in real life.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

The productivity level has increased due to the economic down turn in trade and the yard not being so congested ,also the ships coming in are not having the huge turn arounds they have in the past leading to many job & knock situations which gets the boat off the quay quicker. You know yourself when there's been high volumes in the past we can never achieve the same results, and shouldn't we not easily be able to achieve 30MPH on our biggest high tech vessels in stead of 21MPH.
All our customers are more than happy with the service that we supply at the PORT.
I'm glad you think so, try asking the shipping line who's been visiting the aforementioned terminal in question for many years, when the terminal had it's own dedicated gangs the vessels would achieve 25-30MPH week in week out, last week when that line came in one gang achieved 8MPH and the other gang 11MPH,that is abysmal in body's books and you would think management would want to know the reasons why, but because they have caused the situation they dont seem to care.
If the PORT is such a bad place to work why are you still working there for the last 26 years?

I never said it was a bad place to work and I realize it has given me everything I have, but at the end of the day I've worked some long hard unsociable hours the same as you to achieve that. Also it wouldn't be quite the same if I was to never see your happy smiling face around the place
Thats better, looking forward to having a beer with you in the New Year.0
