if you haven't tried lovefilm yet, another free 30 day offer, this time with the silver membership meaning 2 dvd's out at a time.

Enjoying my ScreenSelect free trial - 11 DVDs so far, with nearly a fortnight remaining
A great tip for anyone with a lot of spare hard drive space is to download DVD Decrypter from the Download - Descrambing/ Ripping Tools section of http://www.doom9.org
This super piece of software will copy the entire DVD's contents onto your PC for viewing at a later date, allowing you to return the discs the very day that you receive them! As you can work out for yourselves, with 3 DVDs a time over a thirty day period, you can really turn around a lot of films! And, of course, you can keep your favs on your PC for as long as you don't need the hard drive space back. Be warned, though, films take from about 4GB to over 7GB of space.
How about voting for this as tip of the week?! 8)0 -
Well, two problems I can see here:
1) Do this and you break the Screenselect Ts + Cs:You agree not to make any unauthorised copies of any ScreenSelect DVDs
2) Do this and you break the law.
There is an article on breaking copyright at VNUNET
This is an extract:The EUCD, or Copyright and Related Rights Regulations 2003, amends the Copyright Designs and Patents Act of 1988 and is the EU's attempt to update copyright protection to the digital age and combat software piracy.
Indivuals who make a copy of a copyrighted DVD, CD or music file, whether for back-up or for use on another device such as an MP3 player, are committing a crime.
Even if this is for personal use they theoretically face up to two years in jail or an unlimited fine, and possible civil action from copyright holders0 -

I second the choice for screen select. Although i was more than happy with lovefilm.com, but based on price screen select is better value.
choices rental: i dont like the idea of paying for a trial then waiting for a refund when cancelling a 'free' trial.0 -
Mailbox Movies (http://www.mailboxmovies.com/welcome/) are well worth a trial. After a month or two of your trial finishing, they send you an e-mail offering you a whole month's welcome back trial for free ;D0

Alan, I went to the mailboxmovies.com site and it seems they only offer 14 days free trial. Did you use a special code to get your 'month or two'???0 -
They e-mail you after your trial has finished to offer you another month's trial. I got my e-mail two months after my last 14 day trial.0
