    FROM LOVEFILM:
We hope you've been enjoying your Time Out free month's membership of LOVEFiLM.

We know how busy January can be, so Time Out and LOVEFiLM have decided to give you one extra free week to make sure that you are able to enjoy our service fully. This means that your trial period will end on the 10th March 2004.

    =================
    :):););) ;D >

I have been a user for 2 weeks of lovefilm and find they are very good service. But their gold service i.e. 3 dvds at a time for £19.99 is expensive compared to others.

The jury is out on that one.
I have been with lovefilms/dvd on tap since July and I have averaged 5 a month. Which is a little disappointing as I normally watch a film as soon as I get it and send it back by the next days post. I would expect a 3 day turn around at the most which should be closer to 8 films a month.
Another irritation is that there film released are at least a month later that the general releases. Bruce Almighty is said to be released in february and it hasnt been released yet.

  • My first post today, having been reading them for a few weeks. I had hoped to be the first to mention https://www.Lovefilm.com as I've been enjoying a free month (2 DVDs at a time) courtesy of a Freeserve promo! I've found the service very good and I think I'm up to 9 DVDs now, with my trial about to finish. Not bad! I've also recommended a few friends, as you can earn another free month with 3 referrals. So why don't we start a virtuous circle of recommendations for Lovefilm? I'm not sure if the others offer this kind of thing too - anyone know?

Anyway, my email address is allan@forsyth35.fsnet.co.uk - so send me a quick note if you feel like enjoying a 14 day free trial, so I can recommend you!

I recently contacted iLovefilm to cancel my account as they were getting a bit shoddy. They convinced me to stay a bit longer by giving me two free weeks!!! :o

I thought what the hell why not it's free! They asked my reason for leaving and i told 'em it was purely the turnaround time between them getting my old dvds and sending out the new. Since then they have sorted themselves out and now have a v quick turnaround!!!!!
i can get 4 dvds a week on the 2 at a time plan now. ;D

Much Much better !!!! They better not slack again though or it's off to screenselect i go :o

i find the turnaround time from lovefilm very fast and efficient. Just trying to figure out whats the advantage of paying them £19.99/mth for 3dvds compared to many other rental places only charging just £14.99 e.g. 365dvd. otherwise i find the service very good and they have got back to me with any queries via email within 1-2 days.

Your idea of the incestuous circle to recommend each other for a 14 day trial at Lovefilm is sound, however the code I posted for lovefilm allows a 30 day trial (3 DVDs at a time), and is still working - go to Lovefilm HERE and get 30 days free trial of 3dvds at a time (worth £19.99).

    ************************

I have amended an earlier post I made in this thread about the trial at Screenselect - I have come across a new (better) code - this one gives a 30 day trial (instead of the normal 14 - the previous code extended the trial to 21 days)

Use Code TF31 at SCREENSELECT for the 30 day trial - 3 DVDs at a time.

  • Once the time out trial has finished, you try to cancel and get your extra two weeks - does anyone know if you can carry on using other promotional codes? Or is that asking far too much?

Someone told me there is a website floating around that tells you how to play the companies to get 7 months worth of free trials!??
