Hello all, whispers as has a very bad hangover:rotfl:

Went to a Big Brother final night party last night and didnt get home till 2am!!
Drove to our friends and then we put Pips car seat into another friends car and they gave us a lift so no taxi fares, will bake him a cake as a little pressies to say Thanks.
Took our own drinks and everyone did a little bit of buffet food. Hosts 8 year old daughter loves Pip so she "babysat" and gave him his night milk and put him to sleep on the bean bag in the hall where he stayed quite happily all night.
Really enjoyed it although not sure the cherry sourz was a good idea on top of vodka!!

My Lucius statement has come so I am going to sit and do some more sums and work out how much I would like to pay so then when I get paid on 15th I can see if there is anychance it can be done.

Hoping Septembers pay wont be as bad as I feared as I had forgot that work pay you 2 weeks in arrears and 2 weeks in advance so hopefully I will get 2 weeks extra than I thought. Also the childcare allowance should be on there and be around £100. I have managed to keep £100 saved for our holidays on 2nd week of September so wont have to find loads for that. :T

Have agreed to do the extra full day at work so I will be doing a full time week so Octobers pay will be awesome!! October will also be the first week I get rent from the flat too so LOTS can go to Lucius bashing especially as EGG loan will be on the lesser payments, Hooray!!! Would love to have him beaten by the end of the year, not sure if I will manage it but will give it a good go.

Still getting the odd bits here and there for Christmas and Pips Birthday aiming to get some crafting done this weekend too.getsmiley.php?show=1856

Ummmmmmmmmmmm thats about it I think?

Oh I am hosting a Halloween Pyjama party, scary moves, duvets and nibbles.
halloweentortghost.gif Any ideas for spooky but cheap snacks?

I am soooooooo excited as I LOVE Halloween, infact I love all the Holidays and really should have been an American!!!

Hi pipsmum, have been reading your thread over the last week, and just wanted to say how well you done.:T

Last year Asda had a whole load of halloween recipes online so it may be worth having at look at their site for ideas.

I also fell for the "educational toys" thing. What you really need to know is that the bigger and shinier and more expensive it is, the more buttons it has, the quicker they'll get bored with it. Oh, look. I push button, it says A. Next....there goes £40...

Make mobiles out of fabric scraps and bits (hang them out of the baby's reach) and change the bits on them regularly to keep them interested. Save jar tops. You wouldn't believe how many hours' play there is in a collection of plastic jar tops. Get Duplo and stuff from car boot sales. Swap books and puzzles with friends. Toy libraries are fantastic if you can get to one.

Oh, and I guarantee that by the end of baby's first week s/he'll have more teddies than sh/he'll ever need. Soft toys-they usually don't need them and they hardly ever play with them. They just collect dust.

Well consider me told off!! Lol!!

Very Jealous of DS Birthday. I LOVE Halloween, been looking on tinterweb tonight and got some cool ideas. Looking forward to getting your ideas though. Good idea about the skele punch. Been thinking of films we can watch, Hocus Pocus, Addams family and ones like that. They will all want to watch something scary but i dont do scary!

Hey pips mum, figured i'd come on here as haven't heard about you for a while - tend to be a stalker these days rathe than a poster!!

Sounds like a good night at the big brother after party.

A halloween party sounds great. You could always make paper decorations etc. Simple party games like bobbing for apples. also check out the charity shops to see what unusual things they have got going on in there!

I'm going to nagg like Fay now!! How is your 101 list coming on?!

Hope you and baby pip are good.

  • Hey Mrs Pip too scary to nag :) (just kidding!!)

Waves hello to Andan - haven't peaked at your blog in a while must do that :)

The skeleton punch also had a glow stick in it making it all moody :)

Beetlejuice - very funny but great halloeen film

Just got DS MUSE tickets for his birthday - now very very broke :)

Looking out halloeen things - I didn't like his birthday much HE WAS TWO WEEKS LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, lurker on this thread but as a fellow halloween lover my suggestions for movies would have to be Ghostbusters and Ghostbuster II.
