xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • Up to nov?!?!?!?! wow, that is keen!! lol!!!

Are you carving your own pumpkins?? i tried one year but got it totally wrong and ended up with a massive hole in the front! you could always make spiced pumpkin soup/pumpkin muffins with the in'erds! (insides to everyone not in the lakes)

oh, i remember bobbing for apples at a halloween party once, they put some colouring in so it was red water (not food colouring that would dye you hair and face though, thinking bout it tasted a bit like juice.............................) and put plastic fingers and skeletons in (the kind you got for party bags) amongst the apples.

i love halloween, but all the kids round here (part from the little uns) dont want sweeties no more they want money. Ds1 went trick or treating last year and loved it so will be dressing him up again this year.

Mum2one the book I was using was The Ready, Steady Cook book

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Big-Ready-Steady-Cook-Book/dp/0563551038/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1252605855&sr=1-6
Its really useful as most of recipes use storecupboard items and obviously are really quick to do.

Went to the cheapy shops (99p, £1 and home bargains) today and got a few Halloween party bits.
Bumper decorating pack with bunting, window clings, door poster and a banner 99p
    Glow in dark straws 8pk - 99p
    Glow light tube thingys 20pk - £1
    Table cloths 2pk 49p
    Napkins 20pk 49p
Treat Buckets 99p got 2 as thought they will be good for putting popcorn and stuff in for watching the films.
LOTS of sweeties for trick or treaters, got 3 packets of individually wrapped sweets at £1 a bag.
    Rubber monsters 12pk - 29p!!

Rags - love the apple bobbing in red juice, good idea. Will carve my Pumpkin yep, going to freeze the mush though as i am having a Thanksgiving meal in November for friends (see keep telling you all I should have been a yank!!) and need it for Pumpkin pie. Kids round here will be getting sweets or a kick up the a**e if they wanted money, tough!!
