Hi all
Woooohooooo I am going on holidays tomorrow
All packed apart from a few bits for Pip that I cant sort out until tomorrow. I cant believe what a huge amount of carp we are having to take for him! Toys, steriliser, food, bottles, milk, nappies, clothes plus hundreds of changes of clothes as he is a mucky b****r, hats, suncream, baby wash, towels, sheets, pram, travel cot.........the list goes on, going to need to buy a trailer just for his stuff!!
Have found a few free/cheap places to visit. An animal park and the aquarium being our wet options but hopefully will be dry and we can just pootle around on the beach and go for walks and stuff. Going in a chalet so brekkie will be made by us, probably sarnies and stuff for lunch and then will have a pub evening meal.
Feeling very Mrs Weasley as I am making Tomatoe chutney from the glut of home grown cherry toms I have. Why do they all ripen at once and just before you go on holiday?
Also stewing some homegrown rhubarb to freeze for crumbles and pies when we get back .
Ive had my hair cut really short (bob by my ears when it was well past my shoulders) figure i will save on shampoo!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Its my payday on Tuesday, hence made all my payments this week. Still not sure what i will be receiving so if we are MSE on hols then I may manage to make another payment to Lucius when we get back.
Went to see Beauty and the Beast last night and it was really good, recommend it if you see it near to you. Took my own sweeties and didnt buy a drink there so not too bad moneywise.
May pop on again later but TTFN x xDebt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Hello to you all, newbie here, although a lurker for a while.I have just read this thread and am amazed at all the very hard work you all put in to money saving. I am quite thrifty but it puts me to shame.
Just thought I'd pass on a little tip about childrens' toys (mine are teens now, they buy their own !) when they were little I used to pack away half their toys and rotate them every two or three months. They would forget what had been put away and it was like having new toys again. I did the same with videos. This also had the advantage of having only half the toys to tidy up.
I always kept the noisy toys that drive you nuts just for shopping trips, the noise bothered me a lot less in the supermarket, kept them quiet and they didn't mind going shopping so much. I rotated them too, so it stopped them asking for stuff in the shops.0 -
Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllo
Come on then
How was it???????????

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!:hello:
Im back and had a lovely time. Weather stayed dry but it was rather bracing by the sea!;)
Pip and OH enjoyed themselves too and Pip had lots of new expeiences, sand, ice cream, meeting sheep & goats, listening to monkeys, falling asleep in a pub (bad mummy!) going on a swing and a slide and lots of other stuff too!
Didnt spend a horrific amount of money lots of the places we visited were free or low cost and quite a few places had already dropped to their winter entry prices which was handy. Had late brunch in chalet and then evening meal out.
Have to say wouldnt go in a chalet again as it was tiny, Pips travel cot filled the bedroom so OH and I slept on the squeaky sofabed in living room. The caravans sem much bigger so will go for 1 of them in future I think.
Good news too as Mr Hampsterpoo has sent me a message and he is OK just busy with work and is now a snappy pappy (was thinking along lines of yummy mummy!) for the 3rd time. He said he will pop by and see us all when he gets a minute.:D
Just put an approved foods order through. Got some sweeties for Halloween and Douwe Egberts filter coffee is really cheap so got 6 of them. Got 6 boxes of breadsticks for Pip for £2 ummmmmmmmmm and quite a bit else. Come to £25.:j
There are a few things on Halfcost that I would like but I think the £3.99 delivery is a bit steep for the little things I would order so havent ordered yet, just mulling it over!
Didnt get any Christmas crafting done whilst away so still got that to do but have managed to finish off my Aunties Holiday/beach bundle so just need to get some cellophane off of good old ebay.
Right off for now as working all week.

Re Halfcost - I know it doesn't cover the postage, but unless there has been a discount already added, put in
FF15
on the discount line and it will take 10% off the order total.
Casn't remember which thread, (either Santas challenge or the thrirty money making,) but therea a link for a 95p, run by Minstry of deals, the postage is £1.95 id you order more than 16 items its free.
Only had a quick peap, as computer dies, but got as far as laundry - very exicitng, but think theres a lot of everything on there.
Will try and source the post after, and pop on, but getting kicked off so dd can do her homework on castles xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
