Hi all, I have only just recovered enough from my walk last weekend to be able to post!!!!! Walk was beautiful (well scenery was!!), I climbed the highest hill in South Wales but it nearly killed me. I ended up in a St John's ambulance with strained ligaments in the knee and blisters as big as saucers!! I need to get fitter! Was not very MSE as the firm usually pay for the meals but this year they did not!!

Was having a good week, spending no money and being very proud of myself and then my gold tooth came out today. Went to the dentist and it could not go back in as part of my tooth had broken off. Need a crown now and its over £200, I could really cry!!

My pumpkins are growing so fast, they literally grow an inch a day, don't know what I am going to do with 20 pumpkins though, although I do like pumpkin soup. Keep looking at my tumbling tomatoes but they don't seem to be growing. Planted some sweetcorn, but no shoots yet.

Pipsmum - sorry to hear about pip, hope he is ok now. My middle son who is now 9 had 3 fits before he was 2 but then no more. He is a big strong strapping healthy lad now too.

Confession to make, we had a takeaway tonight too - feel really guilty tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:
  • :DI got my pressie today!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!:D

I am wearing them both with pride, although my fella was a bit amused (or should that be bemused???) when i opened it and had an envelope marked rags. ha ha ha!!!!

And your right, they do make you feel happy and stripey!!!!!!

Well done spends on your walk:T:T Biiiiiiiiiiiiig ouchy to sore feet and knees though.
My tumbling toms are not doing anything either
Glad DS is happy and well now, sure Pip will be the same x x

Rags - You are welcome for your sockies, I hope you enjoy wearing them x x

Well its rained all day here so inside jobs have been done. I sorted through our spice rack ( I know how to live dont I!!) chucked all the manky spices out and refilled all the others.
Ive put all my tins and jars onto the wooden shelves we moved from the flat. It looks like I have my own little shop now, like yours Fay.
OH spent 4 hours  putting up 2 shelves, I then spent 1.5 hours clearing up after him and all the dust :mad: but I do now have somewhere for all my cookbooks. We used some wood from our old computer desk to build them so very MSE!

When I bought your sockies Rgas I also bought a Long pair of stripey ones for me so I have worn them all day to cheer myself up, and Fay I now have mucho stripeyness going on!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Need to get on with my cross stitch and my blanket squares so I can start my Christmas crafts, figure if I start now I will be finished by Christmas hopefully!!

Put a couple more books onto Bookmooch, I think its a really nice site. OK so it doesnt make you any money but I have had 4 books now and not paid a pennie for them.:T

Ive got enough piggy points for a £10 voucher, going to wait and use them off something for our hols in September. Maybe a voucher for the sea life sanctuarys?

Right off to do some spuds for tea, TTFN x x

    Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorning!!

Yucky rain here again so really going to crack on with my knitting and sewing.

Got some whoopsied Sweet Potatoes the other day so mushed them up for Pip and froze them in the choccie trays.

Just done my scratchees, double today. Havent had a survey for ages.
Tried registering for the car bumper thing but couldnt get it to work, OH sent them an email so wait and see what they say.

Need to also sit down and look at my SOA again, pay day is a week on Monday so save last minute rush figured I should be more proactive. Its hard though as I really dont know how much it will be for? Not sure if I will get my childcare allowance from work this month or how much our CTC will be as they paid me a random £45 extra the other day.
Do they tax you on SMP?
I will go on a worst case scenario I think and work from there, then if I do get the extra things it will make life easier wont it.

Well will stop in again later TTFN x x

Will know better when I get my payslip later on in the week.
No debt busting will be going on for a few months until I return to work but at least it shouldnt be being added to either.

I am aiming to make up the shortfall by using my Ebay sales and making any possible savings I can although as you an see its kind of limited. The food hopefully will be a bit less as Ive stocked up well but Ive budgetted for £10 a week for fresh stuff.

    Any other ideas?

hi i love the way you work out what is needed to be paid i should really do this too, the way i do it is just write down what needs paying and cross it out when i do it but half the time i don't do it tell the end of the month and like last month i end up not paying something not good.
i would love to know what people sell on ebay i have tried clothes and things in the past and they never sell argh.
hope pips is ok now? hope everyone is good

    Hi One day

If I didnt work it out like that nothing would get paid!!
There is so little room for saving anywhere so i have to work out the things that need to be paid first and then things like food have to fit in around it, but as you can see I still end up with a deficit at the minute.

Think of the thing in your house that is LEAST likely to sell and almost certainly it will sell on Ebay!! Ive just sold some Snow Globes, some shoes, Disney things always sell well too. I was lucky as I had a toaster and a Sky+ box left from the flat so sold those too.

I think my return to work day will be Monday the 31st August, which...ha ha... is a Bank Holiday so that week I will only have to work 1.5 days.
