 Hello Lianne welcome to my ramblings.

    So my day so far:
    • Went to town to see if M&S had any of their 1p items but they had sold out.
    • Checked online banking to find backdated CTC has gone into my account
    • Moved backdated CTC to my "I dont want to go back to work yet so this will keep us afloat" fund
    • Have made yummy raspebrry and strawberry fool, yum
    • Trying to make meringues but have ended up with sugary crisps :rotfl::rotfl:
    • Started to "knit some squares to do my share", I found it on here and I am making a baby blanket for children in Soweto. Managed 2 squares today.
    • Answered the 3 Ebay questions I had received.
    • Paid another £100 off my CC
Mummy to make my quiches I firstly cheat and buy pastry!:rotfl:Not MSE but pastry is not my fortay!!
I roll it over my tray and cook it for maybe 15 mins, whilst its baking I mix 100mlish milk and 3-4 eggs, fry bacon and onions, grate 250gish of cheese. Get my case out oven, put in my bacon and onions and cheese then pour eggys over the top. Bung back in oven for about another 30mins until the eggs have set.

All in I am feeling quite happy money wise now, I found out I am going to get £80 a month CTC so that lessens my shortfall a bit more :T

    Whats new with everyone else?
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700

  • Yay on the CTC!!!!!!!

Cant believe you are now in the £13k bracket........... i have such a way to go now till i get that far, really am going to haveto pull my finger out!

HAVE GOT A SLOW COOKER!!!!!!!!:j someone gave my mum one, she didnt need it but knew i was looking for one...................just need to figure out how to use it and get some recipes!!!!!!! means i can now get back to meal planning as i can leave it in all day to cook ready for the boys.

Thinking of getting a cheap wipe board to put somewhere so we can see it but its not obvious in the kitchen so i can write all the meal plans down. This way i might have half a chance of getting my fella to stick to it!!!!!! Now i am not buying bisciuts. crisps and junk my food bill has come down slightly, and should come down a little more now we are trying to get ds2 eating the same foods as us, and means i am thinking about what we are eating to keep in enough fruit and veg so the boys have a healthy diet. The OH is hoping this will also help him lose some weight......

Still no where near your grocery spends though....................

Thats cool about the slow cooker, my Aunty gave us one when we were in Devon but us being thickos forgot it and left it there, DOH!! It would have been great for when Im back at work, I bet you get loads of use out of it.

I use a calendar on the wall for my meal plans, at a quick glance people just think its a calendar (not an obsessive plan of food!! :rotfl:) but its out for me and OH to see easily.

Ive just paid another £33.44 off debt so that takes my MBNA under £5000 :T and my Egg to a nicer round figure :rotfl:

Had a NSD but nothing else MSE for today.
