OK if you sell the car how much do you think you would get? the money you get for it can go to your loans etc
That then instantly saves £50 a month. from your expenses
So deficit now £196 which sounds so much less scary
Ok if WTFC is going to pay you £20 a week - thats a plus of £80 when its sorted out hurray
So deficit after WTFC is now £116 - much less scary -
So what can you do to earn or cut £29 a week out of your expenses or earn? Cos thats all you are down if you get rid of car.
If it were me I would cut shopping down to £70 a month - there's just the two of you (pip is eating mush - so thats not too expensive bless him.) Can you do a massive list of what you have freezer and cupboards and work out a meal plan (like me yeah I am converted) and see it as a personal challenge til you get back to work.just to sound rubbish we live on <100 (75) for 4 of us 2 dogs, 1 cat and various hangers on of kids and everything else.
AND MRS WEASLEY you are growing stuff and etc so you will cut down your expenses for food anyway.
The Mazb thrread was awesome - I now cook in a Mazb way.
Anyway re house - didn't you say there was a chance of letting it in august?? Try and hang on to it if it was me.
So if cut shopping by a miniscule amount and then also get rid car - NO DEFICIT
Hugs me dear hope the piplet is behavingTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

my god fay, how on earth do you manage to do your food shopping on less than £100 a month????!!!!!!!!
I struggle to bring my shopping in at £200 a month and thats for 2 adults, ds1 and ds2 and a cat!!!!!
hats off to you!! xx
Can OH take on some more of the bills whilst you are off??? that would bring your defecit down............ how is the dmp going???December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
Weight loss: 1.5lbs0 -
Rags I was spending over 300 on shopping and over 100 on 'coffees, lunch etc' before I foudn the light - well found MSE - I was about 300 deficit a month
Now its better.I have seen the light
Yeah me, brother and DS (14) DD (12)
We eat like royalty so I dont know - um - I am carp and don't give in much ?
Buy and freeze bread and milk once a month = then have no excuse to go for it
Batch cooking and add soya mince to real mince etc
Always know 'roughly' whats for tea
I freeze anything extra even if its tiny
Only buy value icecream and the kids 'ben and jerry it' by adding lots of things from cupboards liek honey, nuts, marshmalllows etc - so we always buy vanilla and they can add whatever they want
No fizzy juice or fruit juice - we have '12p - value' 2ltrs of fizzy water and squash (to make pop) if we want that or just water - I only buy 2 bottles so it has to last; and with meals etc we normally only drink water no other juice is allowed
Dont ever buy biscuits sweets or cakes - except 27p value chocolate to make cakes and biscuits etc infact NO sweets ever - if they want them they have to buy their own
Cat ONLY has dry food - she sulked for about 3 weeks but then she gave in
Dogs ONLY have dry food - see the cat answer
Value crisps only
Everything else is home made
Kids only have packed lunches
NO conveience food at all - unless its a treat (like potato wedges or something junkie)
Its kinda like living in a home made nice food version of colditz
To be honest freezing milk and bread have been the biggest money saving, cos I don't go shopping 'just for milk, or bread' and I have to say that's blown me away - cos everytime I went in for milk and bread I came out with either a £20+ basket full or a trolley load.
PS we do eat lots of lovely stuff - but its all homemade - ? Cos its cheaper not cos I am really Mrs Weasley. My wages are just about 1000 and so we never have much moneyTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Thanks though you have made it all sound not quite so
I meal plan anyway but guess I could shave a few squids off the shopping, your right things like bananas are a luxury not a necessitie (sp?) I only spend £25-£30 a week, included in that is Pips baby milk at £8, though so wont be able to save much as I buy the value stuff anyway.
House let in August has fallen through as she has decided to stay put. If I were to let it officially I have to let Housing associaton agree it, Halifax agree it, would lose WTC. Just looked and 1 the same has sold for £79,995 but I need to find out 2mos if thats owners share or Housing associations + owners share if its just owners share that would put me £20,000 UP if its both it would put me DOWN £40,000 and in Negative equity.
Edit - just used the estate agent online valuation tool thingamy and I think the figure must be owners share only, would have to pay for the Hip thing and solicitors fees but that could really significantly clear my debts and therefore stress.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

You only have to really cut back for a couple of months - June/July?
Sorry if it sounds like we live in colditzI think its easier here cos we have LESS CHOICE.
I have just got a bit selective with the shopping it banana's arent on offer I buy less or buy them loose that works - I have a rough £5 budget for fruit and veg a week and its amazing when you think OK I can only spend a fiver
Honestly am not being patronising at all - I know you work really hard
PS wish I could rent your houseif I were nearer I would
and well done on the debts getting so much chucked at them
I wish I could say something constructive to help
PS Don't you get special vouchers for the milk? I thought eveyrone got something towards it? I breast fed til after weaning - (no choice DS allergic to cows milk) I thought they help with that? Excuse my ignoranceTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Nope we arent entitled to milk vouchers, if they say we can have child tax credit then we might be able to get fruit and veg money.
Again I am just soooooooooooooooooo annoyed with myself for getting into debt.
With your freckles you are another step nearer weasleydom too!!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
