I want my washing up to do itself like Mrs Weasleys does.
Feel a bit of a muppet standing in garden at night yelling Derek at the top of my lungs!!:rotfl::rotfl:
Ok the secret to washing up is to train them early - pips just a wee bit young yet - but not much - mine had dishcloths in their hands as soon as they could stand. its a great fun game - I use to put the basin on the floor, then on the table and then they were allowed if they were very good to wash up for 'real' at the sink.:rotfl:
I used the same approach with the dishwasher - use to let them take out and put away the non-breakables then 'allowed' them to progress.
I don't see this as slave labour. I see this as good responsible parenting (?!) which will reap the benefits for future flat mates and partners.
DS can cook really well (14) and DD is learnig (12) they both know how a kitchen is supposed to look after its been used, familar wiht both dishwashers, washing machines, cleaning of bathrooms etc both also have thier hoovering licence. Without the regular use of these skills I am afraid they might forget how to do things, so in exchange for constant training i swap electricity (so they can use - gameboys, computers, laptops, telly etc)
Pips a bit young yet - but one day Mrs Pip Weasley - your dishes will be done as if by magic!! I can't imagine pip being turned into a pampered prince:DTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
Pip will most certainly not be a pampered Prince! Think some of the most important things we as mothers should do is show them how to cook, clean and spend wisely. I hope Pip doesnt get in debt like his silly mummy and daddy.
Well I have had a very productive day and feel very Mrs Weasley!!

Here is my little garden. You can see my little greenhouse with basil, beetroots, bell peppers, carrots, tumbling tomatoes, strawberries and spring onions in. Ive put the little gem lettuces into hanging baskets, potted my peas and runner beans up into big pots with homemade cane wigwams, broccoli and cabbages have gone into bigger pots too and now have net over to stop evil !!!!!cats digging them up again!
Earlier we went to B&Q and got some shelf brackets as OH is recycling wood from old unit into extra kitchen shelves. We also went to garden centre and got 4 growbags for £5, still need to buy a couple more trough style pots.
I am roasting a pork joint for tonights and tomorrows tea and Ive thrown in a cherry cake too to make full use of oven.
Phew I am worn out now, going to have a nice bath later.
Whats everyone else been up to?

Ha Ha Ha yes we are a bit like a playgroup, there is always tea and biccies too! :coffee: The more the merrier :j Welcome x x
So not much DFW for me today other than the usual scratchees and clicks, 1 survey (does anyone else find surveys have dried up?) and I rang Pips CTF peeps to see where my boots vouchers are.
Trying to be careful with leccy as we only have £9 and I dont get paid until Friday, so if we run out before uh oh!!
I am still trying to figure out best return to work combo. Does anyone know how much your allowed to earn or how many hours before it changes your WTC? Also dont understand the tax and NI I will have to pay on roughly 20 hours a week. Oooooooo its all so confusing
Edit - Glad to see you are still lurking Hampster, are you sulking and not talking to me as I didnt name him Pip? :rotfl::rotfl:
