Thanks Mum2one, it is such a relief.
LT - Its so stressful and frustrating as half the time I wasnt even aware what was going on as Solicitors were so useless at communicating. I really hope things get moving for you quickly x x
The flat selling means I will now have around an extra £400 a month to either throw at debts or to save towards my redundancy in May, Ive got used to paying it out for the last 5 months so figure I can keep managing and use the money wisely.
I have a thrilling Afternoon planned of looking through all my interest rates and calculating where my payements will have the most impact, big hunch is Evil MBNA but I know the Tesco one charges quite a bit considering how much is in there. My Next one also could do with clearing but I am scared I will run that one up a bit again so think I will leave it as a deterrent!!!Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

great numbers there for you. I'm sure that one way or another that my flat sale will go through it's just a case of whether i'll be sane by the time that happens.
great numbers you've got there, you'll make huge tracks now that you're not paying off the second mortgage. it will be interesting to see what you decide about clear debt v save against redundancy. I keep foreseeing this decision in my future so keep going round in circles. I had decided to keep my last loan going as normal as it's at 0% and overpay the mortgage but now i think i've decided that i just want to really get rid of the debt especially as i know i should be able to clear it by christmas
have a great weekend0 -
Your both doing absolutely brilliantly with the debt repayments.
Pipsmums - I think i'd go 50/50, in the nicest of ways with you knowing the redundancy situ, you can put some planning into place, more ways than 1, if Pip no2, were to make an appearance, you'd had a nest egg to fall back on. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
very valid point you have there mum2one0

Hey Everyone! And special hellooooooooooooo to the stripeyone!
So heres my update.
The money I got from the sale of the flat is most definately not burning a hole in my pocket, in fact I am reluctant to release it!!
So far I have paid off the £65 balance on our Summer Holiday so thats all clear now, also paid off some money that I owed to Mum and evil MIL hadnt counted that on here as it was not credit as such. Ive paid £500 towards my Tesco CC and a bit over £700 off of MBNA so my totals are as below now:Next £571
MBNA £2965
Tesco £1730
Mothercare £346
Egg Loan £2646
Total £8258 :T
Nice to be under £9,000 and by pay day I will be under £8,000:D:D:D:D
The rest of the money is going to be sat on for the minute! I know other car has MOT in April and don't hold out much hope of it passing so nice to know the money is there ready.
In other news Pip the 2nd may be closer than we thought as all staying well we should be welcoming a new bundle in early October :A Keeping it very quiet at the minute as its so early. I've looked into dates and stuff and because I will be working up until my 21st week I will be entitled to Maternity Allowance for almost 9 months and can begin claiming that in July, between May 31st and mid July I will get Job Seekers, genuinely will be looking for Part Time work but can't see I will be considered very employable by then!!!!!
Cant remember if I said yet or not but I started Avon again end of Jan, placed 2 orders so far and have made maximum commision/discount each time. Not bad as I am only doing Friends and Family at the moment. Have made about £30 each time so every little helps in the stay at home pot!!
So thats me at the minute, hows you guys doing?

Sorry - I mean CONGRATULATIONS <---- That's me helping to keep it quiet you see!!
Two is certainly a handful, but I think you'll have a fantastic age gap between them - it's just what me and OH planned as we were going to start trying again at the start of this year - ended up a bit earlier and DS2 was actually born at the start of the year instead:cool: And whilst I love them both to bits, it really is hard work as DS1 is only just about to turn 2.
Oh, how exciting!!!
Fab news on the money side of things too - must be even nicer to know the flat money is there given the news.
Under £8k on Payday is amazing - that's 20% of your debts from the start of the year paid, and it's only the start of March. :T:THalf of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Congratulations to all the pips.

wonderful news Pipsmum we'll help you keep it quiet for a while
glad you're spending your flat money wisely, i know when ours finally goes through, IF we get anything extra back after the solicitor has taken most of it it will be being spent on our new house, call me picky but i honestly can't live with an orange livingroom carpet with lovely faded patches.0
