    Hello anyone that still reads!

We had a lovely time in Disneyland Paris, Aidans face was just amazing and made all the hard work worth while.

The flat should complete in the next couple of weeks, going to chase them tomorrow to see if they think it will be next year or if they will manage to get it in by the end of 2011. Hoping it will be by end of year as I really, really want to start a clean slate next year. Ive left the boiler cover going just incase anything goes wrong before its sold so as soon as it has I can cancel the policy and save £20 a month.

I got some back pay in this months salary but typically its all gone. Made some overpayments on my CCs, had to pay £75 gas/elec bill for the flat as we left the boiler on to prevent anything freezing or seizing before it sold. Also bought OH a quite expensive Christmas present and now feel totally sick about spending the money, I had said he could have it belated once the flat had completed but then wanted to be able to give it to him Christmas Day. I get so frustrated with myself that I have to do things there and then, I think its going to be my resolution for next year.

Christmas is all done and paid for, 1st year nothing gone on CCs, in fact not spent anything on CCs for months now :-)
Still need to buy the food as we are having it at our house this year rather than go to Mums as we are hoping Pip will be more settled in own environment and will go off to sleep leaving us some time to chill.

Looking forward to the January Sales, planning on getting all my Birthday presents for people for the year again like I have for last few years. It feels great to know its all done and if I get a chance I even wrap them all ready!! It also saves me a fortune.

Really, REALLY am going to try and check in here more often as I need a MSE kick again. Not gone back to the bad old days as like I say nothings gone on CCs for months but need to get back to meal planning and generally being more frugal again.

    TTFN x x x

bloomin heck! that's daylight robbery. Thankfully my flat isn't a housing association one but that's a huge sum of money. Did you know that would be the case when you bought the flat originally?

Hi Mum2one! Going to pop by Christmas thread in a mo and try and catch up x

LT The buyer actually has to pay the HA legal fees, the £200 is the only one I have to pay but I dont understand why they want it now and ownt accept it on completion. Not heard back from solicitor yet so will chase them tomorrow.

Went to Mr Ms for the first part of my Chrimbo food shop. Came to £64 but I did also have £7 of pull ups for Pip. Booze already bought, so just veg and cold stuff left for Friday. They had reduced loads of their gifts and also decorations, got lovely wreath for door for £2 and got my Secret Santa 2 little gifts for £2.50 each one was originally £7!!!

thank heavens it's not you who has to pay the fees, do you have the pay the 3k as well? i hope not.

i have to admit the solicitors are doing my head in. We've had to prove our id with the mortgage company and our solicitors which is fair enough, but now the mortgage companies solicitors want us to prove our id again! it gets beyond a joke! but they seem to be happy for us to send passports etc via the post so how does that really prove our id? we could send them anyone's passports how would they know? also they would only return them via first class post which at this time of year, or actually at any time of year just doesn't sound safe to me. I've had a word with our solicitors to see if they can sort it out for us.
