when travelling I always use days inn motels as they do 2 nights for £50 with free wifi - and they are usually at services. I have been horrified at the prices charged at the services, so always bring stuff with me for those late night munchies or use the service road and find somewhere local.
I have just come back from Leicester where they were charging £2.20 for a packet of rich tea biscuits but in the waitrose next to the smiths they had their value range at 85p. The Kfc on site was as about 70p dearer than none services sites. I do not understand how they justify such costs.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0 -

They justify it by the high rent they pay, the higher running costs and most importantly convenience . There is nothing at a services , except toilets, that you really need most of the time. Food and drink can be planned and prepared etc. or you can drive off the motorway and find the local town, but when travelling long distance who really wants to do that?If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550 -

It tells you why prices are so VERY high at certain outlets - and who is actually making all the money - and it usually ISN'T the name over the shop window !0
