Our local store seemed to have mostly small turkey crowns in and whole turkeys but we managed to get a medium sized crown for £8 so very pleased. Alot of people were complaining in the store because they didn't get many of the medium sized ones in and were saying the small is not enough for a family! You had to get there early though!!!! Thanks to the OP for this.

I just got a medium crown, all the large crowns had gone. They are getting a delivery in the morning but she didn't know how much or what they would get.
Also all the rest of the meat was half price as well.

I saw the half price turkeys at £10 (2.3k)but alittle furthur along were normal price free range large british turkeys and it was roughley (fraction more expensive) the same price £21(4.1k).

I dont know enough about the price of turkeys to know if these are true half price deals but personally i thought the better value was the free range turkey for taste and buy british etc.

I got the last small turkey in Somerfield in Canton,Cardiff at 9 am. All the crowns had sold out, although the lady thought they may be getting more, but with three small children I didnt wait to find out. It was mayhem.

I popped in today and got a huge bird for £15!!! I can't believe it - we've saved a fortune!!

Only thing is there are no giblets with it, can anyone recommend what to make the stock for the gravey out of?
