Half Price On ALL Fresh Turkeys @ Somerfield from 20/12/08

1.5Kg £8 (£5.33/Kg)
2.0Kg £10 (£5.00/Kg)
So, like most "half price" offers it isn't really, but not a bad price for fresh turkey crown when compared to the competition.

just got back from our local somerfield, they had medium turkey crowns £8 and small crowns £6. They had loads there although they were restricting them to 1 whole turkey and 1crown per person, although i think the young cashier was un aware of this as people were buying 5 or 6 at a time. Oh well happy days, good time to hit the shops tho as it was virtually empty. A stress free shop.

Just got mine, Large £10 - 2.7kg, Medium £8 - 1.942kg. Small £6 - cannot remember weight.No restriction on numbers.

The best deals must be in Yorkshire according to Fortyfoot, 2.7kg crown for £10, about £3.70/kg! Cheaper than beef mince!

Got to our somerfield 15 mins before it opened and ques were forming...Got inside and I have to say what a decent lot of people. Everyone waited in a line orderly until they got to the Turkey fridge......Very christmassy and friendly.;)

Restricting them to 1 crown and 1 Turkey per customer but didnt say till we got to checkout and i had 2 crowns....Son paid for 1 for me...:j

Nah, Am sure mince beef at Sommerfield has been cheaper! Bought some the other week.

Thank you so much Claire for the heads up on Somerfield Turkey bargains. Got a whole medium fresh turkey for £12 this morning. Plenty were available at 9 am but a restriction was in place for max 2 turkeys per customer.

Thanks to the OP for this. Have been trying to get on to their website to find the nearest Somerfield's but have been trying since last night and haven't been able to get on to it. Our local one closed a few months ago and is now Mr T's.

Does anyone know if there's one near to Bury/Bolton (Lancs)?
