I'm using some from Tesco at the moment, I can't remember how much they were, but I can assure you they wouldn't have been much
Very sturdy I can only describe them as having a blue lid. I use them for everything.

My DH has to have Flora ProActiv to keep his cholesterol really low ( costs a fortune but less side effects than statins) as he's got Type 1 diabetes... I use them for freezing and find them good for all sorts of things like taking food to work because I don't care if they get lost or squished in my backpack.0

Hi
I'm planning to start batch cooking on the weekends, freezing food and then reheating as and when.
The small plastic containers which you get from the takeaway are a perfect size for 2 portions of chilli or curry but we don't have takeaway very often.
Anyone know where you can buy them cheap?

Hi Glam,
I got mine at ikea, the ones with the red lids. They are 75p each, but my ex takeaway tubs could only cope with about 4 cycles of freezer, microwave, dishwasher before splitting! The ones we've got now have daily use and we've had them over a year!
Good idea to batch cook with baby coming, I felt like I was being my own best mate when Fergie arrived and I didn't have to cook anything!

Hi - I just wanted to say, I paid £5 for a Waitrose freezer/microwave locking container and it split across the lid - so that's just to warn you not to fall for the hype that the more you pay, the better the product.0
