Re: my original post
No offence Salopman, but I think Im going to stick with AOL, "better the devil" and all that, not that Im doubting your word. Also all the otehr packages I have looked at involve a £30 set up fee, plus most involve contracts and I would prefer not to be tied into a contract.
So........
Im all set to ring AOL tomorrow. Taking into account my first post, with the email I got from AOL and what they are offering, do others think this is best I can hope for, or should I hold out for something better (even though I am probably stopping with them?) And any tips on how to approach bargaining for someone who is not used to pushing for things, but will give it a try with the right coaching!!
Any hints would be gratefully received.
thanks0 -

Well I phoned AOL last night.
The first fella I spoke to was not very helpful, just spouting the stuff in my original email. When I asked for my MAC code was told I hadnt got one as I am currently on dial up (is this right?)
Then I said I was thinking of going to O2 etc, but he wasnt going to budge.
I rang back got another advisor who seemed helpful, said about the £4.99 for the first 3 months, then possibly if I signed onto a 18 month contract it may only be 9.99 a month or less, but basically the inference was that I sign up for the 3 months then see what the offers are then.
I asked him to email me this information but up to press have not received it.
So what do I do now?0
