Your case is no different the others on here. Do not contact the company again and ignore any correspondence from them.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

I am at the Parkforce Debt Recovery letter No.5 level.
Have ignored everything so far and made no contact as per general advice. All forums seem to agree with this but I've yet to read a post where someone confirms that the pestering has finally stopped. Has anyone out there experienced this?

Yes. Most of the regular posters on here have. Not many people bother to come back and tell us when it stops, but if you think about it thats a good sign - if ignoring resulted in a court case they WOULD be back for advice!

OK, I think they have finally given up. I got the one about "your debt has been passed over a new collection agency and if you give us half the money we'll leave it at that" kind of thing. Ignored that one along with all the the others and since then (about 3 weeks) ... silence. The lawyer on BBC's Watchdog programme announcing recently that they were all ****ocks and that everyone should ignore them must have really put the knife in. Thanks to everyone for your helpful comments.
  • Hi all,

I wonder if you could give me some advice with my issue.

I was given a parking fine by UKPC at the end of Apr, when I left my car in a disabled bay for 4-5 mins whilst I picked something up.

When I returned the attendant was writing the ticket, but never stuck the ticket to the car, and I drove off before he had chance.

I then heard nothing for around 30+ days until I received a letter in the post telling me I had to now pay the larger amount of £80..

I then appealed to UKPC, which they took 10 days to reply too, and completeley ignored all points in my email and pointed out that I shouldnt of parked in the disabled bay (which I accept, and wouldnt of done if I were staying longer than 4+ mins)

I have since appealed again twice and received no replies from UKPC, and I am now receiving letters from debt recovery limited for an inflated amount, and threats of court appearnces, bailifs and bad credit.

Can you Help please, as this is unnerving me slightly and I do not know what to do.

    Thanks.
  • Stop "appealing" to them. There is no such thing as an appeal with these parasites, they are not going to turn down money. Ignore all their demands, they never go to court because they know they would lose.

Your credit rating can only be affected AFTER
1 They take you to court
    2 They win
3 You still don't pay up.

Same applies to bailiffs. Note that debt collectors are not bailiffs and have no power to do anything other than send begging letters.

See this thread for examples of the rubbish you will receive through the post, and ignore it all.
