  • Thanks Taffy. The Popla stuff is there but got a bit of rubbish to burn when the rain stops so it will be going in the incinerator..
The little twonk ran away with his hood up when I tried to take his photo with my phone bless him.

Are you the registered keeper of the car, or do you know the person who is?

Its not a lease or hire car in other words?

  • Thanks will get a friend to look at it tomorrow for me :)
  • Hi, I've got an invoice for parking in my relative's private space whilst visiting. I was displaying a UKPC visitor permit at the time. After my relative appealed on my behalf I have received a letter saying I still have to pay as I was not in a visitor space with a visitor permit. The permit does not say what sort of bay you need to be in, just that it needs to be displayed. I have previously paid a UKPC charge for something else. After reading this thread I guess it would be best to ignore all letters? My relative is planning to take this up with the housing association as the car park space falls under her ownership (it is a part rent, part buy scheme). Is there any advice you can offer?

Yes, ignore them or if they sent you a POPLA ref No for an appeal, appeal to POPLA costing them £32.40 then ignore them!

I agree with esmerobbo, do use the second stage independent appeal and cost them money. See the top sticky thread on this parking forum for a link to an info website about how POPLA works.

But if that second stage appeal (which is paid for by the PPC!) doesn't work, then go back to ignore mode secure in the knowledge that you've been reasonable, and that it's still safe to ignore after POPLA (see the info website).

UKPC have never taken anyone to Court, never. It's just a matter of ignoring some letters which can you can play snap with; match them against the 5th from top sticky thread 'PPC letter chains' (look at the pre-October pics as the letters are just the same now!).
