Hi Wendz,
Is your hair looking shiny and gorgeous? I love it when i've had my hair done, always looks and feels fantastic. I hope the shampoo and conditioner lasts you, well done staying within budget last night though.
I keep meaning to ask you, how's your OH's training going? The very best things in life ... are free!

Yep is looking lovely thanks! The hairdresser said it is a bit dry which is why she recommended the shampoo and conditioner.
OHs training is going really well, he has passed everything, done really well in some exams. He has another 3 weeks and then a week off then he is doing his 5 weeks training in his borough.
I just managed to redeem a cheque on GTM , usually takes a few weeks so will probably have that next month some time. I also just sold our guitar hero on amazon, splitting the money with OH though.0 -
Well done on your budgeting hun!
My hair needs cutting and colouring big time! But after my last colour mistake i worried to dye it again! lol.
What brand shampoo did they recommend you wendz?Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
It was some wella stuff , think you can only get it in salons, is called system professional. It cost me £28 to get it dyed at hairdressers, obviously more expensive than doing it yourself but at least they won't make mistakes...hopefully anyway hehe.
I just got back to London and had a little rummage around the pile of post at the bottom of our flats and found my dooyoo cheque and my lovefilm dvd, glad I did that or would have been wondering where they were for ages. They were hidden under some junk mail. Have added the dooyoo money to my OD fund, not far to go now.
I am helping OH make some cakes this afternoon as they are doing a charity sale at work tomorrow.0 -
Oooo cake making sounds like yummy fun! Id love to see my OH cooking cakes! He can only just about cook oven chips! haha
Thats a great price for colour!!! I get charged £35 just for a wash, cut and blow dry! They class my hair as long and slap on an extra £15 (shoulder length hair is £20!) its takes longer to do as theres more hair! Its the same in every hairdressers ive been to what a con! I might have a look at the hairdressers down the road from my house see what there prices are like as they do colouring. i would love to have it done properly!
That was lucky you found the cheque and dvdbefore they got chucked out!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
It was quite funny watching him make them, he was a bit dissapointed in them as they were meant to be muffins but didn't rise. I told him just to pretend they were cakes.
The hairdressers I go to is quite good that it charges the same for all length hair, mine is quite long as well! I used the new shampoo and conditioner last night, just a tiny it like she said and seemed to work as my hair feels nice today.
I have just been totting up my spends for last week and was 20 over budget, would have been on target if i hadn't bought the shampoo and conditioner but never mind.
Got 50p on the scratchie this morning, woo apart from that no news.0 -
Well the good news is that we only spend 9 quid on food shopping this week, so only 3 quid each as only bought fresh stiff. Have loads of meat etc in the freezer still.
Bad news is I had my AA renewal come through yesterday and is 50 quid more than it was last year as i got introductary price grr. Supposedly is coming out of my Dads credit card haha, not sure he will be too impressed by that. Think I am going to have to add the AA and Insurance to my debt with my Dad and pay for tax and MOt with the money I have got put aside. Will add another month/2 months on to paying off debt but at least I won't be absolutely skint before xmas.
Took the guitar hero to the post office today and cost 8 quid to post! Only 12 quid after that profit but never mind. They don't take into account the size of it even though it is a computer game.0 -
Not much to report today moneywise. It was a NSD for me so that was good. Only spent about a tenner this week, doing well.
Had to stay larte at work as our company are pitching for new business so am tired now.0 -
Wendz I always cancel my AA when it runs out and then go straight back to quidco / topcash back and join up with the opposing company (ie aa /rac etc) and get a better deal and some cashback.0
