Am off to bed soon as setting off for the carboot at 6.30 am eek. We haven'tgot anything big to sell but lots of clothes etc so we will see how we go.
Have managed to persuade OH to sell his playstation 2 and games woo, won't make any difference to my debt as is his so he will get the money but is less clutter in the flat which is always good.0 -
The carboot sale went OK, didn't make too much, only about 30 quid profit. I only get half of that as well as gave some to Mum for coming with me and some to sister for her stuff. £15 in the OD fund though. We got rid of a few bits though mainly clothes and books and we took some more down the charity collections at the supermarket after too.
Just got back to London a while ago and am sorting out the washing etc, normal sunday stuff!0 -
Have transfered another £10 over to the OD account, now under £400 left to pay yay.
Am going to start my spending diary tomorrow. I might not do the getting cash out thing as think I might just spend it. Will do teh spending diary instead and try and keep within budget0 -
Hi Wendz,
I have been doing a spending diary for about 2 months now and its brilliant, it really does help you notice where you go wrong each month.
Well done on the carboot, what a lovely weekend it was for it.
Great news on the OD, you are doing brilliantly chick, well done. The very best things in life ... are free!
Challenges for 2010: Sealed pot challenge n.o.855 - £365 in 365 days challenge (pay for xmas in 2010) £21 - Make £5 a day in Jan challenge £0.00/£1550 -
Been to Asda tonight and done a big shop. We got loads of meat etc so we won't have to go for a couple of weeks now hopefully. We are just going to get fresh stuff from the local co-op. OH and I also got new pillows and new duvet covers as I managed to ruin our other one by throwing pasta on that wouldn't come out.
Payday in less than 2 hours, is good but I can't go mad so not that excited. My payment to my Dad will come out Thurs though so that will be good.0 -
Well I have been paid, nothing has come out yet though as my direct debit to my Dad comes out on the 1st, looking forward to updating sig though. I am also waiting for this months interest on the ISA towards the overdraft fund. When I get that I will have completed the £5 a month challenge for the first time ever yay! Wish every month was as good.
Started my spending diary Monday and is going good so far, is good to see all the little bits you buy.0 -
I need a spending diary, but I would be ashamed at the crap I buy as that's all I seem to spend money on.0
-
That is the idea though hehe. I am not doing too badly this week, am starting to see how much all the little things add up though.
Got my interest in OD fund today so that has been added onto it. Also very close to redeeming another amazon voucher from toluna, still waiting for last one though.0 -
Just realised it is the 1st of the month and my payment to my Dad has gone out so now owe him just over £1000, next month will be under £1000 but then he is paying for my insuarance in Nov so will go back up slowly, getting there though!
Total debt is getting towards £1500 as well.0 -
Went out last night for my friends birthday and managed to stay under budget with the amount of money I took out. Even bought two rounds so dont know how I managed that.
Off to the hairdressers in a min to get it coloured again as is fading and cut as well. That has all been budgeted for though.0
