I hate to sound cheesy but you really are very inspiring! I got a letter through from weight watchers the other day asking me to come back and join again but I didn't think 8.5 months pregnant was the time to do it! Although....I'd have one hell of a loss one week wouldn't i?!!:j

Awww shucks :o -thankyou... It was time for me to get my backside back into gear -fortunately the way I was eating when I lost the rest of the weight before has all clicked straight back in place :T ... Im an old WW memeber.. but got sick of paying for the "pleasure" oh and the constant counting :rotfl:
oooohh make the most of eating what baby "wants" for now ;)

    Marru-Hope you feel better

Mrs M-Fantastic weight loss!!! Well done!!
Also a 'stunning' whoopsie hunt..thinking of getting a chest freezer to live in one of our sheds as then we can take advantage of reduced items more often. And make more soup. And freeze more fruit.
    Has the snow disappeared yet???

Well I'm getting prepared for the 1st day back at school on Wednesday. Particularly enjoyed brainstorming for my wildlife club..love any wildlife..

Will venture out later to Tesco to buy Branston beans* and an Express..has MOCs I might be able to redeem and I can use the TV mag (I think it has one). OH forgot his mobile when he went to town this morning otherwise he could have bought the Express then and redeemed the coupon for the free shampoo in Superdrug too. Must not think about it.. .I have shampoo!!

    * or pick up another raincheck voucher.

    re:blender vs processor.
A blender works better for very liquid stuff and a processor works better for solid stuff.HTH.

  • Today I am going into the big wide world with its open shops for the first time since going on the challenge in earnest. Gulp!
I have a cunning plan, so it is a necessary trip.
To explain, I made my future SIL a bag for Christmas and my sis a scarf. They turned out well didn't take long, and the best bit, cost only about £2.50-£5.00 each to make. DH has a shop and suggested I could make a few...just as I was sitting listening to the radio or something, and sell them in there. Nothing to intense or anything, but he thinks he would certainly get more for them than it cost to make. So I'm off to the craft shop...... and I'm sure there are people on here that know where that can lead.
So my strategy is to think out what I intend to manage in the next fortnight say, and look out the patterns etc make sure I have everything there and intact then go to shop.....(it's sounding good now, but will it last???)

That sounds great, Sorting Out, let us know how this venture goes :D I've been so inspired by you crafty people on this challenge (especially brighton belle and her lovely mosaics on the 2008 thread) that yesterday I dug out my old cross-stitching stuff and spent some time making up various different designs... I'm going to leave it for now as I don't really have time but my plan is to do loads in the summer and make a few presents :) I've got loads of Aida and threads already though I might need to top up on a couple of colours. I had lots of fun making the designs, I'd forgotten how much I used to enjoy it when I was little :o sad I know :o If I get them finished it should save a fair bit of money and hopefully the recipients will like them much better than a bought gift :D

can i pick the brains of some more frugal than me :p i was given 40 min sample bottles of cif activfizz stuff (and very good it is too) i have them all lined up in cupboard but not only did i get them each bottle has a 50p off your next purchase so have 40 of them as well

now asda are doing this at £1.00 for a 750ml bottle and yep im very very tempted to use these vouchers or shareing some but obviously i cannot buy 40 bottles in one go i cannot see that asda would allow it

should i or should i not, i do have stardrops which even using th activfizz coupons the stardrops would still go further iykwim

or does anyone on here living near asda want some of these coupons? maybe i should just buy a few bottles
