hello charliedavies and puss14.
This is going to be a great year for moneysavers. I think we will all be more aware than ever of finances.
I haven't been able to finalise my figures yet as we still have gd1 with us but she is going home tomorrow. I like to spend as much time as possible with her because we don't get to see her as much as the others.
Puss14 where in Aus are you?0 -
Wow! And still this happy family grows :T
Welcome aboard to everyone else doing this for the first time...... It's "first time around" for me, though I feel quite at home here having been chatting on the 2008 threads for a while now. But I felt at home from my first post on there, as this is such a happy, welcoming, and supportive family :happyhear
Just think, we're under Starters' Orders now -- another 15.5hrs or so and we're offffffffCheryl0 -

Morning to all. Last day of this calamitous year. I really do hope that 2009 will be peaceful and above all healthy for you all and your families. Let us all spare a thought for people who are much less fortunate than ourselves and try to help out when and if we can. Even if we cannot spare any money let us offer 1 hour of our time; even that could make a great difference to someone s life and suffering.;)
I have a nice link for you today. Discounts galore for fellow frugal souls.:D

Thank you Janey51.It has been my motto, among others, for the past 2 months. Hope it helps everybody else as much as it has helped me simplify/streamline my life and avoid very very dangerous paths regarding my health due to extreme work-related stress because of stupid social pressures I had put myself under for at least 2 decades.:o
ALL THE BEST FOR THE NEW YEAR WITH GOOD HEALTH ABOVE ALL!!!*Gold is the money of kings; silver is the money of gentlemen; barter is the money of peasants; debt is the money of slaves* *Tough times never last but tough people do.* Days are long but years are way too short!:eek:0 -

So looking forward to tomorrow. Feel really positive..Thanks Everyone!! Hope you all have a great time tonight. We're going to have tea at Mum and Dads then off to watch the charity fireworks. Homemade bread with English breakfast brunch tomorrow.
