Nyk exciting about the eggs ! Can you take some pics when they start to hatch or is it a bit dodgy with the flash? Would love to see them
We have a new arrival appearing on the scene a day early!! :j
There's a little window in the side of the incubator and a light inside, so no need for flash
Not getting too 'eggcited', this could be the ONLY chick to hatch...I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Cool - i would love a frugal chick - shame it isn't a cockerel as it could have been a frugal-doodle do.
I wasn't going to post tonight as i didn't think i was doing that well today. I spent £1.79 on some batteries as my pedometer one had died and i have piled on a lot of weight since christmas and i need to shift some so my work clothes fit again. (i went on the trampoline with my nephew today to do some frugal exercise, and played footie with him while my boys were asleep)
But, i have some exciting news. I was looking through emails in my spare hotmail account that all my surveys and stuff go into, and i had missed an email from last September saying i had won a prize draw worth £100, I was gutted last night as i thought 6 months late, no way will i get this, but i sent an email anyway, and i can still claim my prize. So i will get a cheque in the post next week.
Then, my dad gave me a cheque for my dancing on ice ticket - he is paying for me, my mum and 2 sisters to go to it as a treat. So that is £45 to come off my spends.
So, my oh so so day became a smiley one. I've got my dentist appointment tomorrow so i will get my £10 deposit to reserve the appointment back, and then i am going to the free surestart session at the library with a friend of mine and her 2 kids, so tomorrow should be low spend and fun. I will also try to get to the bank to pay in this cheque so i get some interest from it before my credit card bill comes in.

Congratulations on still being able to claim your prize, Cha97, that's great!
Frugalchick has now completed his/her hatching process and is free of the shell. Slowly drying out, but has certainly found its 'cheep cheep', as it's shouting out the little window everytime it sees anyone. Yes, I took more photographs. :rotfl: This has to be the best so far!
Apologies if this seems off topic a bit, but it isn't really: As a frugaler, I can only afford frugal hobbies, like rearing chickens for affordable free range eggs and as a 'cheep' alternative to renting a movie or watching TV.The above is from a currently running reality show called, "I'm a Silkie Chick, Get Me Out of Here".
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Awww, that chickadee is really cute, if he is a boy, call him Charlie the chicken. (I know, it is a carp name).
Well, today I was in Edinburgh and called into the Gyle on the way home. My sis had asked me to go to Marks for salmon and a packet of danish ham.
This is what I bought: 4 big tins of salmon, 2 small tins of salmon, 3 tins of soup, 1 packet of biscuits, 2 big packs of danish ham, 2 small packs of danish ham, and 1 packet of cheesy crisps.
This is what I looked like when she told me how much it was:eek: .
£26.70 please, she said. I said, no wonder I don't shop in here much anymore. I do like their salmon, it's the best one, but will be a special treat from now on. My sister paid a fiver towards her stuff, but my mum didn't cough up, she just asked if I had bought her any sweets:rotfl: . I'll make her some tablet at the weekend, it is cheaper, and I told them all I won't be going back to Marks, I am a Lidl's kind of girl now.
Just finished a party, so it's off to bed now. Nite nite.0
