Thanks Nyk, we live near the seaside, so I've taken to taking long walks on the beach by myself :) it really clears my head, and i dont mind walking in the dark so I can go most times really. I think my mum blames me for a lot of things, which i dont know how to make right, so i'm just trying to focus on the fact that I start my pgce in september, and I'll be able to get away then! :rotfl:

I tried beachcombing last year or the year before and then tried to make 'things' with what I found. :rotfl: I think that was around the time we started saving the plastic bottles in the hope of building the bottle greenhouse, but then I found a rubber duck and look where that's got me... we're building a duck house in the garden now! :o (I blame that on a friend who wants to adopt an Aylesbury duck and keep it here so she can visit regularly.) Talking of cute ducks, maybe you could do mosaics from pebbles and shells and then sell them. Or am I totally obsessed about making everything pay for itself? Hmm.... off to give that more thought now, too. :D Thanks for that idea.

Hugs from me SF. September isn't that long away and you have something wonderful to look forward to, and you also need help to get through this tough time right now. Sending you a PM xx
The good news from here is that the puppies are clear :T One of her sister's went home this afternoon but we still won't be picking her up til Sat. It gives us time to get fully prepared.

Nyk, lol I think you are a little obsessed about things paying for themselves :P and I didn't know you were getting ducks! You'll have a whole farm before you know it :D
Bails, I'm so jealous that you're getting a puppy! We had to have our dog put down on Dec 29th and I miss her so much! Promise you'll post lots of pics? :D xx

I will most definitely post pics, she can be a tonic for all of us :D Maybe I'll call her Frugal Pup til we think of a name :rotfl:Found out today her speying is included in the price (it's not for cats) so she's already earning her name :T And my parents have most things we need so even better :T I've waited 9 years since our last dog was put down so I know how you feel, still think about her, had her since I was 7 x

I picked up 3 bags of the washing powder last night...... added to the part bag I still have that should do me at least the rest of this year alongside my soapnuts (there are some things that I still like to use powder with, such as towels once every couple of weeks and the washloads with DS's jeans) as I use a lot less than they say. The bag says 13 washes but I reckon at least twice that, so three bags is 78 washes (or 1 wash a week for 18 months ;) ).

  • Hello all

Havent posted for a few days, havent really got anything interesting to say, my days are spent pottering about the house! :o Am feeling like I cant grow anymore, only have a few tops that fit now! But on Saturday it'll be two weeks to go! :j Went to antenatal class on Sunday with DH, that was better than I thought, I was the youngest there but not by too much.

Had to go to Doctors yesterday cos kept feeling really faint and dizzy but just got low blood pressure so got to take it easy.

Got some bargains today, pack of 2 chicken breasts £1.49 and 1 pack of 4 pork steaks £1.65 in the reduced section in the co-op. (Near my nans house, often have good things in there). DH officially 'loves' me being at home ;) (I'm such a creep - I made some blackberry muffins yesterday :D )

    Hope everyones ok xx
