Whilst there is a general healthy kick going on in this thread at the moment if anyone wants a lovely colourful pack of stuff for the kidlets (or themselves ) log on to www.nhs.uk/change4life and register.
Mine arrived this morning and it has a day planner and 6x A4 sheets of stickers , plus booklet with recipes and info in etc.
Whitewing, mumzy, shaz ,marru ,Nyks GD, and CW's GD's etc would be great for your youngsters, and only took about a week to arrive.
CW - would be a good resource for the childminding - see if you can get someone else to get you a few more packs;)0 -
Mr T clubcard vouchers came through the other day so I've converted them into Be**a Ital** vouchers for our meal out for OH's 40th in just over a week's time. Have got him a wicked pressie but can't say because I know he reads this thread (hello dearest !!!
).
lol jtb - let us know afterwards!I took OH to Cafe Rouge and bought him a massive ribeye steak on his birthday, using a £10 off voucher they'd sent me. Looking around the tables, it seemed like loads of people were using the same voucher as me or were using the 2 for 1 voucher which just expired... typical students... then an older couple walked in, surely they'd be paying full price? nope, they asked to pay with their Tesco vouchers :rotfl: :T Hope you have a nice time at Bella Italia anyway

Dh came home last night with a bag of fish, they had been testing a machine for a customer and he had brought the fish to use and as a thankyou.
got 2 full sides of salmon frozen weighing approx 2kg each
and 6kg of frozen haddock offcuts so have bagged those all up into meal size portions.
So from this we have approx £40 of fish if I had to pay for equivalent in Mr T. I used .com as an idea for the prices.:T
The salmon will be used instead of a joint for a couple of different sundays with the leftovers being used in pie, pasta bake and even dh sandwiches during the week.My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -

natalie - good news with the f&f settlement- you're really debtbusting this year :T
sammey - if you got bank charges because of a bank computer error you can get them back and any additional knock on failed direct debit charges because they took your money to cover incorrect charges. If you'd like help with writing a letter PM me I used to work for a bank dealing with this so I know what works!
NSD's planned as I'm not working until Monday - 3 mystery shops today and 2 tomorrow. Going for lunch with OH Sat for Valentines and very excited. Also planning girls night tomorrow with a bottle of wine I got as a present- going to make low GI apple and oatmeal muffins from storecupboard.
Frugal low GI meal plan for today- Low fat low sugar strawberry yoghurt mixed with unsalted nuts and raisins and handful sunflower seeds
- Chicken, spinach and carrot salad, apple
- Chicken and mixed bean soup
- 3 scoops of low fat vanilla ice cream

I've not caught up with the posts yet but will do it before I log off. I've had a heavy spending weekend ((curtains, paint, rug) but am NOT spending on food apart from essentials from my local shop. I've stuck to my word about not using any of the big supermarkets this month (so far) and am happy with my food bill total. It's amazing what you can cook out of your freezer/cupboards if you want to cut back." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Remember all the interviews I've been stressing about? Well, the first one just replied to me and they made me an offer :T :j I'm really pleased as I really liked them when I went to the interview. It's for a 4-week summer internship work experience thing which I'd happily do for free as it would look so good on my CV, but they're going to pay me £300 a week on top!
so hopefully that's paying for India sorted! Now that I know the dates I can start sorting out some other work experience to fit around it as well
Hope everyone else is having a good day as well!
PS I don't think I do too badly with my f&v portions, but now I think you're just trying to make the rest of us look bad, sophiesmumLive on £4000 a Year Challenge member
