Hi Angel, I notice you have popped to the JC the last couple of days now. I look online everyday. Is there any value in me going down in person do you think? What do you, do you talk to someone or just look at ads? Be interested to know as I am out of work and proactively looking. Hello to all. I hope things will get better for people who have had bad news regarding health issues, fast. I, too, have a long term health problem and understand the various feelings that come with such on-going problems. Then only thing we can do is take one day at a time and hope for the best. More easily said than done and I am the first to forget this one time too many but we must try and remember it.
Was a few days off due to computer problems. Was told by IT its on its last teeth, made its depreciation big time.
I will need to get a new one but I can even begin to contemplate such an expense at this time. I hope it will last another year at least.Work is not going well, income is down, health is crap and I dont like taking help from family or friends. A seriously f*ked up combo.:D BUT I have to pay off past mistakes one way or the other.
On the frugal front however I find things quite easy now. Not spending much on food but not going hungry either, my weight has dropped off big time - good for forthcoming blood tests as well. Dont think much about reusing stuff, looking for the cheaper alternative when absolutely need to buy something. NSDs so far in February: 5!
Not much enlightment here for you guys today. Sorry. Hope everybody is well and happy!*Gold is the money of kings; silver is the money of gentlemen; barter is the money of peasants; debt is the money of slaves* *Tough times never last but tough people do.* Days are long but years are way too short!:eek:0 -

Oooh, thank you! Just what I needed! I wish I could give you a hug for that!
I should be on my way to walk the dogs so better get changed. Catch up later...
...sorry - one more thing: talking about health, I am going to corner my GP next time that I see him. I will try to book appointment soon so watch this space!!!!! They have tried to "cure" me for two years and I am getting worse so time for some action me thinks... going... gone..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

hello everyone!
I've been Valentine's Day shopping today
although, I've bought him a card with says "with love" inside, but we've not said that to each other! do you think he'll find that strange? I've also got him some Lynx spray and need to find a little something else
he's taking me out for a meal, so I thought I best get him something in return!
I've been at work as well, and then not much else. I've been piano teaching yesterday, and that's going okiay. Also did some babysitting last night so that's some more pennies into the pot. I'm also babysitting on friday, so that's all good
Sending big (((HUGS))) to those who want/need one. xxxBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

SF I think the most romantic think would be to make him a little something - it doesn't need to be fantastic, it's just the time and care really show. I am uninterested in my OH 'buying' me anything. Spending an hr making something (that pref costs nowt) is way more romantic.slowlyfading wrote: »hello everyone!

I don't think he'll find the word 'love' strange in a valentine card. (And I think it's nice to wait to actually say those words. I still remember the look of happiness on my OH's face when I said it after about 3 months.) Howabout something simple - like a voucher (he has to unwrap) saying he can have your company for dinner on any other night of the year he chooses?
Marru - good for you. You need to push for the medical care you need and deserve.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Now, the voucher thingy is a great idea! Would I need to make it by hand? Bails if you do go through W@terst0nes make sure you sign up for there card as well as the points soon mount up and give cahs off directly when you next order.andromache wrote: »bails - I don't know about Waterstone's but there is 20% off at Borders at the moment, both instore and online, and I believe that they do free delivery: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1459621&highlight=books. They did a 40% off promotion just before Christmas and I was gutted that I didn't wait until then to get some of my uni books! Never mind. I know it's only 2% extra, maybe someone else will come up with a better offer
OH came down for his birthday this weekend - we had a really lovely time. Think he appreciated his presents and me taking him out for lunch. Oh, and we booked our flights to India

I've got a return to Mumbai since OH wants to go somewhere else with his brother first and that is where his connecting flight lets him stop. We haven't decided whether to go north or south, so I figured it was best to book our flights now before the prices jump and we can do our research and decide later. We've got 7 weeks so we can see a fair bit. Am v excited
I hope you're all well - hugs to those who need them

I think he'll like it. Because it will be telling him you really like being with him, especially if you have both been a bit shy about the 'lurve' word (and no harm in that at all)And depending on your humour, you could print at the bottom, "made by the artistically challenged":) Or if it streeses you out, perhaps just do one on the computer?slowlyfading wrote: »Now, the voucher thingy is a great idea! Didn't manage a no spend day today - had to call at PO in Mr A's for work earlier so went bargain hunting as they had been reducing the veggies. Got 3 bags mixed peppers 20p each, two large bags watercress and rocket salad 10p each, celery 10p, spring onions 20p,an iceberg lettuce for 20p and two large punnets of toms for 20p each:j :j £1.70 in total when I got home and checked receipt he hadn't scanned one of bags of peppers so it had only come to £1.50:D - need to rewrite menu plan for next few days now to use up all these goodies.0
