Congratulations SL,
that should take a huge amount of stress from you. Hope you enjoy the new job. Lovely of your family to help out with the shop whilst you get sorted.
SFT - No qype vouchers yet, to be honest I have just forgotten about it now and it will be a nice surprise one day if/when they arrive:D
Not long come back from gym - had lovely swim, the pool was almost empty tonight -think everyone stayed at home to watch Liverpool and Everton:p
and I found £1 in my locker too:j 0 -
Hello,
Congratulations to SL and SF!!! :j Well done both of you!
Nothing really to report from here. I was an hour late from work due to fatal accident near here. My nursery run took 2 hours this morning. Anyway it has been 2 NSDs for me apart from P&R tickets. I need to buy the 10 trip card tomorrow to save a little bit on that.
I twisted my knee yesterday on the walk and it has been a bit dodgy today (and driving in very slow traffic this morning wasn't helping) but hopefully back to normal for our walk tomorrow. Going now to give it a soak.
So wishing you all wonderful Thursday and catch up tomorrow evening.

Right, caught up now!
SkintLynne - WELL DONE to you on the job!
Mumzy - I tore a muscle in my neck several years ago now and I find it helps if I turn my head slightly so the muscle 'pulls' (just before it hurts), then straighten it up, then keep trying to just turn it slightly more every time. This seems to ease it (although if you have back/arm pain as well, that does not sound like the same thing. I am surprised at your doctors advice - when I did my neck in I had not one but two ambulances within 10 minutes (as it was suspected meningitis)! Hope it sorts itself out soon.
Valentines Days is my Mums birthday, so I am considering heading up there for the day to give her her present. Otherwise I might cook myself a nice dinner, with candlelight etc
Oh, and Mi Info has closed down

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!
Remember I was working on my tax return on Friday 30th of January? The rebate has hit my account TODAY!!!! To the pence. (I mean yesterday 5th
)
This will go toward my courses budget but due to poorly cash flow situation in the other budgets has to wait until I can start siphoning it into my savings account for future use.
OOOH, this means that I might be able to go to the course that I was drooling over last year....
Ok, ok I am going to bed now..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

well done Skintchick and Marru.
just managed to read up to date, and now about to set off walking to work in the snow. We haven't had much overnight but it's snowing now. Usually takes 15-20 mins to get there, but i think it'll be much longer today!

Was due my tesco delivery last night but it was not delivered due to 'adverse weather conditions' - i had used a unique code for £10 off they gave me when one of my shops was not delivered before but expired today so they are going to honour that and refund me the extra on the delivery charge to be delivered sat. Also received an email to say another code i used did not work so they have used another £10 one and to use that in future, will have a try later and see if that works too - will have a serious stockpile at this rate!DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts
Just to see which month

Mornin All,
Just a quick thanks to all re the dehumidifier advice, looks like that's the way to go and I'll have to get one sharpish as I can't afford to loose anymore work clothes. Have had a look around, and they're quite pricey, so have put an add on Freecycle and if nothing in a few days, will buy a new one, hopefully will get OH to go halves!!
Congrats on all the new jobs, esp the teacher training and have a great day

L!dl had a dehumidifier recently (at our local store anyway) that wasn't tooooo expensive, and still had some earlier this week. Not sure how the size works for the size of room I'd be putting it into, but I figure it would have to help......
The 'spare room' - which is bedroom 2 - is over the garage, and always very cold and sometimes a tad musty smelling (if I haven't aired it for a while).... though luckily no signs of any damp/mould in there (yet). At the moment anything I dry on airers goes into the cloakroom, but now I have my GDs here it's become a problem due to the 'size' of the room. So I'm having to look at finding somewhere else in the house to do this, and the spare room is really the only other space available !!!Cheryl0 -
Hi all,
I am new to the 'live on 4k board', having come across it in the student forum!
Sound like a really good idea and when i have completed my pesky assignment I think I shall have a go with a budget myself.
I currently have a budget and don't do too badly but know am a bit frivolous sometimes too.0 -
Congrats on the new job skint lynne.
