Well thoroughly enjoyed my Orange Wed film-Slumdog Millionaire. Excellent film. Took a packed tea with me and we walked into town and back.

Have a great evening all!!

I'm terrible at this challenge. I have spent something every day, and have ideas in my head about what i want to buy for the garden, and i am only just talking myself out of it.
Todays spend was £4.28 which we put towards £30 of Arg0s vouchers i earned through shop and scan to get a water butt and a garden sieve to help the veg patch project. My next vouchers i get i will then put towards a mini greenhouse. What i really have my eye on are some strawberry canes, some mini apple, pear, orange and lemon trees, and some blueberries. I will work out the most frugal way of doing it i think.
Other than that, i have been good and cooked using up some stuff we had. I bought a butternut squash the other day to make a soup for my boys as i haven't bought one in ages and they love them. I cut into it, and most of the seeds inside it had sprouted. So i have washed them, and have sorted the seeds into some that i will try and plant, those that got damaged as i scraped them out, and some that i will dry out and try planting later. I am thinking to myself that i will make some room on my kitchen window sill till we get the greenhouse at least. I couldn't believe it when i saw the sprouted seeds, i have never seen that in anything before, but these little seeds are determined to grow.
Otherwise, i have been up to very little apart from doing a bit of housework and playing with the kids. Good job i did some housework as my brother turned up at our house with some mates. (A bit strange as i used to teach these kids, but as they were nice, and all left school i let them in). I felt a bit uneasy because the house was untidy with toys, but oh well.
Anyway, i should be saying big congratulations to slowly fading on the PGCE, Marru and someone else started new jobs, and of course to Lynda on the new house and engagement. I'm sure there were loads of others who had good news but my head is a bit confused. I hope you are all managing to stay warm and healthy.

Just a quickie to let you all know that I got the job.:j :j
I start on Monday but have to go to Leicester for 5 days to train. Will leave on Monday morning and be able to drive back home on Friday lunchtime with any luck. The money isn't great but it is a start into the hospital industry and they seem to be a really nice bunch of people.
My sis and auntie will do the shop for now. At least I will have outside money to pay my bills with and will have a car with it as well.
Off for a bath and will be back in a bit. xx0 -
Wow!! MORE good news on the job front :T
Huge congrats and good luck to everyone who's just started (or is about to start) a job - new or otherwiseCheryl0 -

SFT - Sorry I get easily confused
too much going on this week with new job and lots of mystery shopping
Skint Lynne HUGE congratulations on the new job :j - the money isn't everything it's more important that it gets you a start to where you want to be and you like the people you work with
I had a busy day but spent nothing apart from MS money which will be paid at end of month - and got lots of free stamps! Have to buy electric tomorrow as we're down to 64p  and more MS all day tomorrow. Signed up with new company and doing 2 phone jobs for them on Fri, then more stamps and burgers on Mon. OH is off this weekend so we're going to get some free outdoor exercise that I was aiming to do 3 times a week:o so maybe 2 long walks over the weekend will be a start. Going to have a relaxing bath now as I'm really tired"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0
