  • No school for son today - dunno if school was open or not but sis is a teacher and she isn't going in so neither is my boi lol. I am sitting on the computer for a few hrs as did lots of cleaning yesterday I LOVE DOOYOO lol - signed up yesterday and love being able to write my opinions and earn cash wahoooooo - am tempted to get amazon vouch and buy stuff but i don't need anything so being sensible and saving for £50 cheque to go straight off my debts. If i can get one of these every 3/4mths then that will be extra 200 off debts. May even save it up for a f&f and tell them i have some money from doing reviews he h - but tell 'em i've reviewed everything i can so no more cash to come next year.

Right now snow has slowed down am going to wrap son up and send him out to get his friend and play in it for a bit :)
DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts :) Just to see which month :))))

Thanks everyone for the storage suggestions - going to have a look around online and in shops over next weekend and see what I can discover.
We never see a betterware or kleeneze book here and already had a quick peek at lakeland, might have a looksie at ikea.
One of oldies has suggested cup hooks on inside of door, and then clip several packets together with large bulldog clip and hang from cup hook - quite ingenious I thought:p
SM, betterware are online and you can go thru Qu!dc0
    My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
    So we’re empty nesters.
    Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).

Okay, I'm back with my tail between my legs - I have been sensible and not gone to the gym, but it was hard :( Sign language is my priority today so if that goes well and I can, I might go to the gym later, even if it's just for a sauna.

Lollopy, I feel your excitement, I used to love them too! :THope you have a lovely day off. Glad you're feeling a little better Mumzy. I love your spreadsheet too CW. Hope the mosaicing is fun BB, glad you're feeling better. (I have no idea why but your name won't highlight ) Lovely thing you did for your sis Masomnia :T Your sig still makes me laugh every time I read it :D and your savings target is ace, wish I'd been that ambitious when I was a student :T
Hopefully a NSD here - will take a flask to help get me through sign language and am too tired to go to Lidl on the way back. My main aim for this month is to menu plan as effectively as possible from our storecupboards as we have lots we can use up.
Only a smattering of snow here so far, hoping for more.

Want to thank everyone for the organisation/motivation tips - since we had that 'chat' it's refocused my efforts and I feel a lot more organised and on top of things :T

CW What does the puple column mean in your spreadsheet?
    Budget To Date
Annual budget, divided by 12, multiplied by the number of months we've completed :)
    So for now it's....
    budget / 12 * 1 (or 1/12th the annual budget)

cw Just love your multi-coloured spreadsheet, it's so clear and looks user-friendly. Is it readily available through a link and could even a died-in-the-wool pen and paper gal like me get to grips with it?
Not linked it anywhere (normally email spreadsheets around when sharing), and it's not quite complete. Will have a play this week and then see if I can link it up somewhere for you to have a look at :)

  • love the spreadsheet but my brain would go pop...weezl would be proud cw!! Been working at home but now have to go in (snowing a bit but very cold) for a meeting via getting a new tyre as noticed one is a bit bald...
Masomnia - lovely thing to do for your sis and one thing I hope I dont become is tight fisted...meal out occasionally does you good to so great that it was enjoyable.
Feeling very fluey so will miss book group tonight - shame as was looking forward to it and its my book...never mind - will save some pennies...ok must on or will be late...

    Hi everyone.
Right, it's a new month and I've dragged myself out of my lack of money induced misery and I'm starting to keep track again for February.
I reckon I spent about £800 last month, so £200 over budget.

I've done my grocery shopping this morning and spent £54.13 but I've really stocked up in case I get snowed in or something :D
  • Afternoon eveyone - are we all enjoying the snow? :T

Finally found the courage to do my figures, I can see that I'm going to have to reign in the spending (which I already thought I was doing...). In my defence, Jan's figures do include 4 Travelodges breaks for the year (don't you just love their £9 sales?), the deposits for 2 £9.50 Sun holidays, & DD school trip!

Do need to work on the NSD's though!

Hope you are all doing well.I'm sat here watching the snow (not very deep here yet) wrapped in a fleece blanket, wearing thermals & fleeces & refusing to put the heating on until kids get home! Definately a day for being a couch potato with lots of tea & blankets!
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D
