hi billy - I took the statements I had, cut the slip off the bottom and sent the token payments to the address to send cheque payments to (noted on the back of the statement) ;) Where I had two to go to the same address, I did two separate letters with cheque stapled to it, but in the same envelope ;)

For the loan I have, I just sent it to the address on the last letter they sent me and hoped for the best.

    The paperwork cccs will want:

the DMP agreement form signed by you (they will send you this)
your latest payslip (just to prove your income is as stated) - not sure what they ask for if you are on benefits at all, sorry
latest statements - so they know the account numbers and who to pay, and latest balances of your debts - printed copies of online statements are ok too ;)
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • Hi billybobbery1 - newlywed is correct you only need to send CCCS statement of each creditor which hopefully show their bank details (usually on reverse of statement or on payment slip at bottom) plus proof of your income - if like me you receive some benefits then I just sent them a copy of my last benefits letter. Also you will need to return to them the signed CCCS agreement

Good luck and please dont worry too much - it took me nearly 2 weeks to get all my paperwork together as I waited for statement to come in so that I had upto date figures

Billybobbery1- Im with payplan now, and i have sent a copy of the most recent statments, and the ones i havent got this months statment from yet iv sent details of the ballance and account numbers to them instead..which i was told would be fine as its the current ballance they need before making offers to all creditors and payment deatails.
So in one of my creditors case i dont get statments so just rang the creditor asked them for current ballance and sent that figure off to payplan.

    Hi billybobberyl:j

I think it was me that said don't send cheques, it was just something that I read somewhere on this forum, wouldn't take it as gospel!. Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge will come and answer this one for you.

    Keep smiling!:rotfl:

  • Hi all,

In response to the recent discussion on sending cheques.

A creditor cannot just take money from your new bank account, even if they know all the details. This is called "THEFT":D

As long as your bank is not connected to any of your creditors then you will be fine.

Some people tend not to sign anything because it has been known for the more devious DCA's to lift the signature and paste it somewhere else onto another document. Obviously, your cheque has to be signed, so they will have a copy of this, but it must be stressed that 99.9% of creditors would behave appropiately and not do naughty things with it!!!;)
